I have been an outstanding IT employee and been with the same company for 29 years. For the last 5 years a new director has been particularly nonsupportive and basically insulting. This week during a retirement party, in front of a room of people, he gave credit to the retiree for two of my major achievements. People there were amazed and it was basically humiliating to me. Of course, now, everyone wants to know why he would say those things. I cannot believe that after all this time on the job I am embarassed in front of the people I work with. He has had two harassment cases against him. I want to know what's up but know I cannot talk to him without someone with me as he will not be respectful unless he is made to be. What should I do?

My sixteen yr old nephew has "fallen in love" with another sixteen yr. old girl. He has not been attending school. I think he feels that he could get the death benefit ($1,200/MO) and live off of that with his girlfriend. I guess my bottom line question is can he still receive the death benefit from his father if he is emancipated from his mother? We live in Alaska.

Is this what our society has come to?

Am I supporting terror by selling bomb making guides?

I sell bomb making, money making and loads of other ebooks online and have never really cared about who reads them. That was untill someone named abdullah bought one on how to make pipe bombs. Noticed the name in paypal.

He paid fast and I sent him the ebooks, but then started to wonder why he had that name. I always think terrororists know how to blow stuff up and where to get guides free without paying for them. I would not mind if some hothead decides to blow stuff up with my guides as long as its away from my property. Someone called abdullah buying me guides propably thinks I am a kuffar, or whatever it is.

I found out on line a rapist has just moved near my mom. He is a high risk offender. I do not want that kind of filth living near my mom. He must be living with his parents, since my mother lives in a nice neighborhood. Sad thing is, my mom does not own a gun or probably ever will. I am going on leave soon and I want to run this guy out of that neighborhood. Any tips?

...if yes, how can I pressure the opposing law to be changed?

I always check to make sure that the guests are legal US citizens. After that, I have no demands. I ask you this now because I do not intend to find out the hard way whether it is a problem.

At one point in time i had a roommate. The agreement between my roommate and I was that i would pay the rent, and he would pay the bills. During the time that i was giving him the money for the rent, he was using it for his own pleasure, and not paying what he was supposed to. Not only that, but he didn't pay any of the bills he was supposed to pay either. Together we bought a pool table for the house as well which wasn't a cheap investment.

The question i have...is it possible to take someone to court for money they owe me even if i dont have any proof that this money is owed? It would pretty much be word against word, but i feel i should be compensated for money that was not wisely spent. My car was even reposessed because it was wither live with no heat in Janurary or have a car. Even though the gas bill was his responsibility.

At my school, I had my cell phone (which is against the rules), to make a long story short, my friend 'borrowed' it, and got caught, and I got in trouble. I know it was fair for me to get in trouble, as I was breaking the rules, but while they had my phone, they read through all my old text messages..
There was nothing bad, and it really wasn't a big deal, but I'm just curious, is this legal? I'm told it is, but, it just doesn't seem fair.
I'm a good student with a spotless record, but they didn't look at that, they just went through my texts looking for something bad.
This just bothers me, and I want to know, is it really ok?

why is it required and can the government deny you a marriage licence if they don't like the results? Don't you feel that this infringes on the so-called "freedom" americans supposedly enjoy?

I recently purchased a home and moved out of my apartment. Our lease was up, full notice was given, and the apartment was left empty and clean. My wife and I have been looking forward to getting our $1200 security deposit back. A check came in the mail but it was not the full amount. Our landlord took out $160 for broken handles on the microwave and dishwasher. The microwave handle was already on its way out when we moved in, and while I'm not positive we put it in writing, I vividly remember our conversation with the landlord about it's ailing condition. The dishwasher handle however did break while we were tenants. One day my wife shut the dishwasher and the handle just snapped off, we sent a note to the landlord along with our rent check that month describing what happened and we never received a reply. Aren't these normal wear and tear items? It is not as if I jump kicked the dishwasher to break the handle. Am I in a position to demand that $160 dollars? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
