Discretion of the employer.

Why should an employer have to shoulder increased costs because a worker's loved one croaks? Someone has to do the work that the employee isn't doing. The employer shouldn't have to pay for work not being done.

Everyone knows that an employer can have any policy that he wants. What kind of system would you propose? Before answering ,think about this, would you open for business with that kind of restriction on you?
Kind of sounds different now doesn't it.
