My ex husband just got 12 years in prison, for sleeping with a 12 yr old and getting her pregnant, she apparently "wanted" it. But then his father a loooooong time ago slept with his own daughter who was 16 at the time and he gets charged with rape and life in prison. Ok so whats the difference, they are both sick men, (yes I know I married a moron, but as you can see thats why i'm divorced) anyways, so how are these charges different?

When you send a note to a higher up and then you hear other employees discussing similar contents amonst each other, you know there is a problem. Even if a computer tech or someone that
has access to your emails and such, they can misinterpret what
they have seen or read to others.I would think that at the very least
its unethical and a break of confidentiality laws.

It is known that there is lot of corruption in the registration process of land or buildings. The true value is never shown, thus the state losing the revenue. The owner or the seller receives lot of money as black money, hence no record of it. The buyer pays all the black money, hence he is interested in reducing the cost to him and agrees to register for less amount to reduce the tax burden on him. If the registration fee is to be paid by the seller too, the buyer may insist for correct amount to be shown. In this way generation of black money may be reduced. Why is this simple thing not being looked into, in spite of all tall talks of reforms?

This will be the third time that I have reported this question. I again tell you that I had a answer removed for this same word (idiot). I don't understand your actions. Please tell me ,was mine a mistake or is this an oversight , or do you handle abuse as to what your personal beliefs are?????

I put this in ethics because I don't see any in community guidelines.

This question has been up 3 days.

My husband was laid off from his job because they did not have enough work for him. They said that because he was the last to be hired, he was the first to go. They let him go on the spot, had him clean out his things and sent him home that day. Did his employer break the law by not giving him more than 2 minutes notice? If you have any legit insights with knowledge of the law, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

Can a grand jury make an indictment without the accused being aware that there is a case against him? Does the accused have to be notified that a case against him is going to a grand jury - especially if there has been no arrest? Finally, is the grand jury docket available to the public?

My sons father committed suicide a month after he turned a year old. He worked for his parents and they never paid him in a check. Therefore he never paid any taxes. My son who will now be 9 years this year has never recieved any kind of child support or help. His parents do help with school stuff and from time to time, but it's not the same as support. I have seen lawyers about this but they all tell me there's nothing I can do. Is there a way to make his parents pay for it since they were the ones who never paid him? PLEASE IF U KNOW ANYTHING??

I live in the state of New York (Upstate)...I live in a apartment. Which is a house with 2 apartment, one upstairs one down stairs. There is only one entrance to get into the apartments...which is also your exit as well. But before you can enter the apartment...You have to go on the porch. The porch used to have two post/banister. One of them has been broken for many months. And the owner/landlord haven’t fix it yet, he just laid it alongside of the porch. I understand he has lot of iron in the fire (other things to do) such as take care of the other houses and apartments he has. Because I know he owns a lot of buildings and stuff. But it would only take 10-15 of his time to fix. A few mornings ago. I was coming down the steps, and happened to slip on some ice/snow. I could of have some support if the post/banister was there, but which it wasn’t, and in result of that. I broke my arm. Is that my fault. Would that be the landlord responsibility to fix that or was that the tenants responsibility ? These are listed in the rental agreement

Tenant Responsibility: Good housekeeping is expected of everyone. Tenant agrees to keep quarters clean and in a sanitary condition. The tenants agree not to permit any deterioration or destruction to occur while they are occupying the property. They agree to maintain the walls, woodworks, floors, furnishings, fixtures and appliances, windows, screens, doors, plumbing and heating fixtures, as well as the general structure and appearance of the property.

Tenant To maintain Dwelling Unit:
1.) Comply with all obligations primarily imposed upon tenants by applicable provisions of building codes materially affecting health and safety.
2.)Keep that part of the premises that he occupies and uses as clean and safe as the condition of the premises permit.
3.) Dispose from this dwelling unit all ashes, rubbish, garbage, and other waste in a clean and safe manner. No items are to be placed on the front porches without permission by the Landlord.
4.) Keep all plumbing fixtures in the dwelling unit or used by the tenant as clean as their condition permits.
5.)Use in a reasonable manner all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilating, other facilities and appliances in the premises.
6.) not deliberately or negligently destroy, deface, damage, impair, or remove any part of the premises or knowingly permit any person to do so.
7.) Conduct himself and require other persons on the premises with his consent to conduct themselves in a manner that will not disturb his neighbor’s peaceful enjoyment of the premises.

Residents warrants that he/she will meet above conditions in every respect, and acknowledges that failure to perform the obligations herein stipulated will be considered ground for termination of this agreement and loss of the deposits.

Alterations: Tenants shall make no alterations, decorations, additions or improvement in or to the premises without landlords’ prior written consent.

Waiver: All rights given to Landlord by this agreement shall be cumulative in addition to any laws which exist or might come into being. Any exercise of any rights by Landlord or failure to exercise any rights shall not act as wavier of those or any other rights. No statement or promise by Landlord, its agents or employees, as tenancy, repairs, amount of rent to be paid, or other terms and conditions shall be binding unless it is put in writing and made a specific part of this agreement.

Could You explain to me if he would still be responsible for my fall and injury? In “Tenants Responsibility” it says “woodworks” does that mean the porch too since it is made out of wood? Does this means that the fall and injury is my fault?

In the UK you have to be at least 18 years old to buy alcohol. How old do you have to be to be able to drink or buy any alcohol from an off-license or supermarket in Turkey? Also, does this law on alcohol apply in kurdish ares e.g. Erzurum, or are kurdish laws for alcohol different to the rest of Turkey?

My husband ex dragged him to court and got 70k and 100% his pension.(sencond settlement). We had to pay in 15 days otherwise 1500 intrests per month. The court totally ignored he was currently unemployed, no money in the bank, and me - the second wife. (married for 3 years). I'm thinking to go appeal but my husband thinks he has no change to win becuase of the systerm (during the court hearing the judge even not allowed our solicitor to agure more than 1 min). Both of us think the court is not as we thought, it's an unfaire law & order. Now, we are worring about where to find the money ( my husband try to get a loan next week ), but I think diffirently. I want to persude my husband not to pay ( thinking we had to work 5 years to get over it!). Please help me, will he get arrested? Both of us don't want to pay her, all she thinks is get money from my husband and do nothing about herself. My husband paid her almost half the salary for almost 6 years plus 3 sons go to university.

I have a male friend who was welcome at my home for years. He had been visiting and spending a great deal of time with my family. We had talked of marriage and he even identified my daughter as his step daughter when we were out together. If you saw how he treated me and her you would be amazed at his level of concern and caring for us. By all outward appearances he was a great guy. However my mommy radar went off one day about an interaction that didn't seem appropriate. I asked my daughter what happened and she started crying confiding that he had raped her several times over the past year. This man who'd been in our lives for so long instantly became someone who I didn't know. Immediately I called 911, took my daughter to the hospital, cooperated with the police and went to court. There was no physical evidence like DNA, just bruising. He admitted to sitting on her and locking the door "accidently" but nothing else. The jury found him innocent of rape. Is there anything I can do?

2 girls are being abused, one sexually molested. The Social Services worker has called the girls liars and even said that some of the abusers actions are not illegal, the police department has "lost" one of the reports and the judge in the case is going to allow the abuser to keep the children and award this person child support. These girls are terrified and have made several reports, only to find out that no one in law enforcement will protect them, they've been made to return to this person's home and then the girls are called liars because they change their stories after they have been with this person (gee, stick a victim in the home of her rapist for 24 hrs and see if her story changes).
Where do we go from here? The abuser is the ex-wife. Is she getting away with this because she's a woman? Are there any agencies that can take this investigation away from local law enforcement? Are there any other legal means by which we can rescue these girls
