was the class hard?

I loved my ethics class (I went to college in my 40's). I had a fantastic teacher. The homework was not difficult. If you are a questioning, introspective, soul searching type you would probably like it. It was harder for more rigid students who see things in black and white.

My son hated his ethics class last year. I think the problem was the unorganized teacher. She was also very Christian and unable to present other points of views objectively. My teacher was personally religious but able to be objective and even honor other points of view.

Interesting! Ursarmoso and I said basically the same things. With this in mind I would suggest asking around campus about the teacher before taking the class.

I guess that depends on how you define hard. To make this class worthwhile, you have to put a lot of effort into it. Really think about what you read. Connect those ideas together. Question what you have been taught and believe. Why do you believe it? Is it logical? I can remember sitting in my first class discussing perception and how the meaning of words are different from individual to individual. But, now I can apply what i learned that day to many different situations, business, relationships, life in general. It will be a worthwhile class in the long run.

I took one. It was probably the GREATEST class I ever took. It will make you question your stance on certain subjects such as abortion, euthenasia, and capital punishment.

It didn't change my views but it did help me better define them.

I wish it were mandatory for ALL college students, as long as it is taught in an unbiased way. I was fortunate that my professor didn't allow his own views to affect the class.
