In the UK you have to be at least 18 years old to buy alcohol. How old do you have to be to be able to drink or buy any alcohol from an off-license or supermarket in Turkey? Also, does this law on alcohol apply in kurdish ares e.g. Erzurum, or are kurdish laws for alcohol different to the rest of Turkey?

It is not the "Age of Consent" but the "Legal age" which a country will ALLOW a young person to purchase and drink alcohol.

The US holds the oldest which is 21 yrs old.

there is one flaw on your reasoning, the authorities plan on raising the college leaving age from 16 too 18. If it develop into raised to 18 may then you anticipate an analogous age of consent, considering those destiny 16 year olds will no longer be taking those human being judgements till they attain 18. hi Clive, i'd were somewhat mild on the data, yet ROSLA (raising of school Leaving Age) is the call the authorities gave it, no longer me. It does no longer recommend you'd be required to stay in college, yet an part of discovering. I settle for some will attempt this in apprenticeships, although all of us comprehend there are only a number of those and they no longer frequently cover the costs of buyings your weekly determining to purchase no longer to instruct dwelling on your own, so an outstanding many less than 18's isn't in a position to make the descisions some human beings olders peeps made.

It is the same as in UK by the law.
This law is implemented every city or town of the country.
There is only one law applied everywhere.
If you are older than 18 years you have the responsibilities of yourself and you can consume alcohol with in your personal limits and can buy with the limits of your money. There is no other limit.
There is no differences by means of law implementation or for any other issues in Turkey and discrepencies do not exists.
If you are willing to travel it is safe, warm and modern country.
