My sons father committed suicide a month after he turned a year old. He worked for his parents and they never paid him in a check. Therefore he never paid any taxes. My son who will now be 9 years this year has never recieved any kind of child support or help. His parents do help with school stuff and from time to time, but it's not the same as support. I have seen lawyers about this but they all tell me there's nothing I can do. Is there a way to make his parents pay for it since they were the ones who never paid him? PLEASE IF U KNOW ANYTHING??

nope, you have no proof. sorry.

they played with their little lies to help their son, and in return they screwed thier grand child out of social security benefits.

although, your child may be entitled to some.... have you tried to contact the social security office and have his SS# run? any kind of benefits from when he didnt work for his parents? ya never know what they might come up with and its worth a try.

No.

What you are asking for isn't Child Support, it is GRANDCHILD support. There is no such thing under the law.

The obligation to support your son rests with you and his father. Now that his father is dead, it rests with you. Not to be cynical, but that is why responsible people get life insurance, to make sure the kids are taken care of even if they aren't around.

Sorry to hear of your problem, but no, there is nothing for anybody to do. The Grandparents don't owe you a dime, he's their grandson not their son, they have no obilgation to support him.

If you are thinking of child support for the last 8 years, you are out of luck. You can't collect support from someone who has passed away. I'm not sure if you can collect a Social Security death benefit or not, but you could try.

If the father left any sort of estate, it would seem to me that you have a legitimate claim against that estate. If he left no estate, or if the estate has been distributed to his various heirs, then it's very unlikely that you'll be able to get anything.
