I was reminded of this when hearing about another person
breaking the law. Either a court case or a high-speed auto
chase...same thing.

Please dont slag me off, I feel bad enough. I am training with the Police Service. 6 months ago before training I got a fixed penalty notice for speeding. This led to a written warning from the Police. I got another fixed penalty tonight for speeding. So I have 6 points now and I will certainly get another written warning at the very least. 2 written warnings (which I have) can lead to dismissal.

One thing is I was injured during police training and was off for a year on full pay. So I've been employed by police for 15 months. My written warnings will no longer be in force when I complete my training - which is 5 weeks time. I am really worried I will be sacked. Please dont tell me I should no better or deserve what I get - I feel terrible.

If a delivery service failed to obtain a signiture on time-sensitive documents, and the package doesn't reach me in time, can I hold them liable for the damage to my credibility, and of the value of the lost contract?

The documents were sent by a contract awarding entity, who gave the delivery company special instructions to "obtain a signiture". The delivery company left the documents on my door step and never obtained a signiture.

My neighbor picked up the package, forgot to give it to me for 4 days, which by then was past the deadline, and I subsequently lost the contract. Is this a winnable case?

I think I know where they're coming from. I see people in the library just wasting their time all day playing games everyday and walking around (some are there to steal from other people who leave their stuff I think) (oh and most are white if you are wondering). There should be more strict rules about giving money to people. If people just slack around all day, the government should refuse to pay them. They should be paid if they are going after work everyday and still they're unable to find any job. this is not acceptable.

According to the National Organization of Women that is what is about to happen on February 16th. This Act allows families to take care of family members that are ill, without loosing thier jobs. It provides other protections as well. It is Big Business chopping away at American Families.

Why does this dilemna seem so incredulous to me? Anna conceived her daughter with only one man. This man is her father. This baby is being pawned and abused by a legal system which is not giving her the opportyunity to truly bond with anyone. Whoever's spern madse this child is the father. The baby should be the #1 priority. What is happening now reminds me of Soloman when he threatened to split the baby in half when the true mother spoke up in order to save her child. We need to really determine who truly cares and wants to raise this child and ignore the monetary benefits. If this child cann ot be loved simply for who she is she should be adopted out to a loving home.

The law must get it's priorities straignt. I don't know about Birkhead but I have a lots of doubts about Stern who knew and enabled Nicole and her son in the use of drugs. To me, this makes him an unfit father, regardless of paternity.

I ordered a laptop (my third laptop in a year and a half) on October 25th at noon.

An hour later, I hear the news that Dell was going to give free Vista upgrades for orders placed the following day (a mere 12 hours!)

I called Dell to cancel the order, so I could place the order again the following day (and get the free upgrade). The CSR said they couldn't cancel, but for the inconvenience they'd give it to me for free. I'd just have to call back when Vista was available.

I have called back every time Vista was expected to come out, and each time was initially told I bought the laptop too early. But two reps (and i have this in writing) said they would give it to me for free.

Now that Vista's available, Dell is refusing to give me the free upgrade (as promised in writing).

Any suggestions on how or who to report this to?

Yes, this may seem petty to some, but I'm going to pursue this on the principle of it. Dell should be held accountable.

The wife cheated on her husband and got pregnant because of it. The husband (now ex) has to pay $1,200/month (more than $200,00 over 15 years) and all those idiot judges have to say is "We recognize that the former husband in this case may feel victimized". Are these idiots for real? How do they become judges? It's not his kid and they are saying he is responsible. They use a quote that essentially says that it is his fault for trusting his wife. The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me. It's no wonder their judges. You need to be an *** to be one.

I have attempted on this site to refer to the New Testament for evidence that Christians shouldn't engage in violence and was informed by Bible scholars that Jesus himself embraced and endorsed it's necessity. I have tried to refer to the Constitution for proof that the Federal government is obliged to care for the most basic needs of the citizens it was elected to represent, only to be told by Constitution experts it simply ain't so. What, then prevents every man, woman and child from taking up the handiest weapon and killing the nearest person? Fear of the law? Why, if the Feds have no responsibility for our welfare, is murder a federal crime?
