The losers need to wake up....... and not just to get their check out of the mail.......I pay way too many taxes that go to programs for minorites who wont help themselves....

I agree.
It pisses me off that I have huge co-pays and deductibles for medical care and some illegal gets in the ER at my expense as well! Or pops out a bunch of kids for a free check.

Why do you only resent the minorities receiving help from the government? Whites also receive help in living expenses from the government. I had thought the discrimination was to be a thing in the past. We are to help ALL who cannot live on meager wages that won't pay the bills. Not all persons who receive help won't work, they have lost jobs by outsourcing to foreign countries. There are no jobs in some parts of the country that will not hire unskilled workers. Many workers were taught to do one job only & were trained by the company to do that job only. You don't aquire many skills that transfer to other jobs that way.
Education, some states have started to teach the jobless trades & other forms of skilled work. It takes time & they don't have the funds to work with all that need help. Then you have to have someone to hire these people. Not always possible.
You must have a decent job & no fear of losing your position or you would not be so lacking in compassion for your fellow man.

You need to find a clue. Most minorities are Not on Welfare. How can a minority of 12% of the total population be taking all of the welfare? The larger majority collect it everyday in Corporations etc...like Enron! Most of those Large Corporations are there because of the benefit that they recieved from slavery and are still profitting from it! The government made it legal to do so!

You know, I'm a conservative. I used to be a democrat due to inheritance of the ways of my parents. However, there are limits to even conservatism.
Simply because I am a conservative does not give me the right to overlook the needy among us. While you chastise the perhaps millions of people taking advantage of our govt, you fail to notice the Union worker who brags about how little he has to do to keep his fat union payroll to the point of ruining companies like GM and Ford.
I would dare wager that you pay no more in taxes than I. If you do, I feel for ya. I hate taxes... income tax, self-employment tax for my social security, inventory tax... on and on. I know it sucks. But let's not forget that many of those who are in need, are victims... not just moochers... and, but by the grace of God, there go we.
Be grateful for what you have. When you find one of those "dead beats", take them under your wing. Teach them what you do. Get them a job at your employment. Remember, things that appear to be a small hill for you to climb, may be a mountain to someone else.

If you check where your taxes really go, a very small percentage goes to domestic aid, even less for foreign aid.
Most of it goes to helping the government sustain itself, and defense, and pork. There are all kinds of things that taxes pay for, and if you don't like the percentages, then donate money to tax-deductible organizations so you pay less taxes.
Stop complaining about where taxes go and be glad you're making enough money to owe taxes. You pay the taxes and they're gone with the wind. No, in fact, why don't you STOP paying taxes and go to jail? Maybe they won't have access to Yahoo Answers there and we won't have to hear from you anymore.

It is not just unemployed minorities who feel that way. Im sure alot of White people are of the same opinion.
Truth is the world owes you nothing , so take what you can. If someone is not strong enough to hold on to it they did not deserve it.

Did you ever stop and think - that all people are not capable of taking care of themselves. They just aren't. If you are a person that turns your back to another human being suffering and had a hard life and doesn't know anything else. Are you going to blame him or his parents? It's just the way it is.

They do it b/c we let them do it-- I don't mind paying taxes, but there should be a limit on how long someone can benefit from a government program... and as the others have said, it's not just blacks and mexicans-- it's whites too! If anything, there should be a limit to the amount of time you can recieve the benefits.. and if you aren't a US citizen, why should you get anything?? You never paid in any money!! As for the guy that said illegals should get benefits-- I think not, b/c most of the money they make here in the US gets sent back to their families in their home country--- which means less of OUR money is in OUR country.

People have told them for years that they cannot succeed alone. They've been taught and are still being taught that they are victims - not winners. Their convinced they will never be successful and will always have to settle for the meager pittance that the government gives them. It is absolutely disgraceful and a travesty!

What minorities are you talking about? If you talk about Hispanics, not all of them are lazy. Thats true many of them get low paid job that regular American would not take (like taco bells, mcdonals). If they earn less than $20,000 per year, don;t they deserve help? How about medical insurance? Btw all other countries, have universal health coverage and it does not have bad influence on economy at all!

Why does anyone, minority or majority feel the gov't owes them something? Welfare was intended to be a temporary support say if the breadwinner died or if they were hurt and disabled. Maybe you question should be why does the gov't allow such a gross abuse of the use of our tax dollars... and if anyone has the answer to that please tell me, because I'd like to know.
