I have attempted on this site to refer to the New Testament for evidence that Christians shouldn't engage in violence and was informed by Bible scholars that Jesus himself embraced and endorsed it's necessity. I have tried to refer to the Constitution for proof that the Federal government is obliged to care for the most basic needs of the citizens it was elected to represent, only to be told by Constitution experts it simply ain't so. What, then prevents every man, woman and child from taking up the handiest weapon and killing the nearest person? Fear of the law? Why, if the Feds have no responsibility for our welfare, is murder a federal crime?

Let me enlighten you a bit. The real question is do we have a civilization here in america? The answer is no!

Because if we did there would be no need for laws or the enforcement of them since civility has to come from the heart!

American civilization is a hoax!! What you actually have is just a society, a social system if you will, that is held in place by laws, law enforcement officers, mis-education and psychology!!

Just turn on your t.v. and look at how your higher intelligence is insulted everyday with fake news and entertainment that caters to your lowest and basest nature!!

Study the history of ancient civilizations and you'll find out about more lies that we wev'e been taught in our educational, governmental and religious institutions.

Each individuals code of ethics differs. A course of action that seems morally wrong to one person can be perfectly justified in another's mind.

Even if the same set of general principles are applied (Constitution, Bible , Qua-ran etc.), personal interpretation can lead to wildly different results in similar situations.

The main thing that prevents the majority of modern society from killing each other in my opinion is a balance of consequence and benefit. People know that they may go to jail (or hell) , be killed in revenge , suffer emotional trauma or lose the fight and die themselves. They have to weigh this off against potential benefits , be they monetary , emotional , survival or whatever.

Even without fear of law (divine or otherwise) most humans would still perform this potential consequence vs. benefit check in order to help with the decision.

The law of the jungle says only the strong survive , however that doesn't automatically mean they will indiscriminately kill the weak

Common Good (religion first to promote this).

Build a road --- who's got the right to the road? The corporations who paid more for the road in taxes ... the workers who use the road to goto work (with whom the corporation wouldn't exist) ... their spouses who use the road to get kids to school? The Government who built the road? Police who patrol the community on the road?

See, the link is how the ideal (road in our example) ties us all together and how we're motivated to take care or destroy the ideal (road in our example). Since the road is benifical to MANY then if I were to start tearing it up with a jack-hammer, well, I might get ran out of town (on the road from which I was trying to destroy).

try the old testament, Exodus you'll find a part where God wrote with his own finger on a slab of stone "thou shalt not kill". I don't know of anywhere in the new testament where Jesus approved of harming any of God's children.

Because they are only there to ensure that our neighbors aren't allowed to harm us. As far as finding food and shelter, you're on your own. There is no promise of free health care, food, shelter, clothing, or anything else.

We need to stop providing so much for people who choose not to be productive citizens, and then they'll stop expecting so much.
