This is more than just a right to choose, isn't it?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand this is a procedure that kills a fetus(baby) that could live outside the mother with just a little assistance.

Most people are familiar with Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in all 50 states. However, very few people also know that the Supreme Court handed down a companion decision the same day, Doe v. Bolton. Roe v. Wade said that abortion is legal through 9th month of pregnancy if necessary for the mother’s “health.” Doe v. Bolton defined “health” as “all factors—physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the women’s age—relevant to the well-being of the patient.” The end result is abortion at any time for any reason. For more on this, see:

Even pro-aborts have admitted that "in the vast majority of cases, the [partial-birth] procedure is performed on a healthy mother with a healthy fetus that is 20 weeks or more along":

It's also important to note that according to at least 480 American physicians, abortion is never necessary to save a woman's life:

Right now, the partial-birth abortion ban is scheduled to be reviewed by the Supreme Court. However, even if that particular procedure is made illegal, it will still be legal to kill babies through the 9th month by other equally heinous means. Even first trimester abortions are horrific and violent:

Unborn children are capable of feeling pain in the first trimester as well:
http://www.advocatesfortheinnocent.com/fetalpain.html

At just 3 weeks after conception, the child has a beating heart. At 6 weeks, she has recordable brain waves and tiny fingers. At 7 weeks, she will turn her head if her cheek is stroked. At 8 weeks, she is fully formed, with all her organs. She can suck her thumb. If her palm is pricked, she will open her mouth and pull her hand away. At 9 weeks, she will grasp an object placed in her palm. The average age of an aborted child in America is 10 weeks.

I'm against late-term and partial birth abortion. I agree, its murder.

they are legal because if a woman's life is in danger she can have it done.

I personally think that inducing labor would be better- even though it probally won't survive it at least can spend the its life being comforted if not treated.

I honestly don't know what I'd say to do if the woman would die if she went into labor and she'd also die if she countinued carrying the fetus. I hope there's another way besides late-term or partial birth abortion.

Field trips to local clinics and hospitals to observe the procedure up close and personal would answer that question. Field trips should be a part of any scientific survey for learning purposes. That should include all concerned parties, medical and non-medical communities.

Who would be next that is not viable or non-productive? Isn't that the Hitler, Stalin approach of survival of the fittest?

They are legal ONLY if the mother's life or health is in danger. Because the mother is the one carrying the baby, her life takes precedence over the fetus.

B/c this country is crazy at times-- Yes it is killing a baby if you have to suck their brains out w/ a vaccuum while the head is still lodged in the mother-- they can't allow the head out or else it's considered a live birth-- It's messed up (and that's using nice language). What's crazy is that I'm somewhat "ProChoice".. but if you are gonna abort, atleast do it before then!!!!!

Liberals dont' care about the rights of the fetus, its all about the rights of the mother. They just want the baby's head collapsed and have the fetus sucked out with a vacuum. Done. Pay the man and go home to smoke weed.

I am prolife, but some of the women might be having those because They medically need to!

Why did i get thumbs down? Some mothers could have a medical issue that prevents the baby from being carried

You're not wrong.

Unfortunately Americans are sliding down the slippery slope. At this rate we'll soon be back in the dark ages like the Chinese, who throw their female babies into the Yangtse river to drown.

Bush outlawed this on Nov 6,2003 a federal judge in Nebraska sharply questioned the law's constitutionality and issued a limited temporary restraining order against it.

I think if you are going to go to this length to get rid of an unborn child there is something wrong with you.

They are 'legal' because the leftist hijacked the abortion issue and the extremist court circumvented the public in their infamous Roe v. Wade decision.
