I think I know where they're coming from. I see people in the library just wasting their time all day playing games everyday and walking around (some are there to steal from other people who leave their stuff I think) (oh and most are white if you are wondering). There should be more strict rules about giving money to people. If people just slack around all day, the government should refuse to pay them. They should be paid if they are going after work everyday and still they're unable to find any job. this is not acceptable.

Actually if you talk to most Conservatives the answer is a little more in depth. What we oppose is to continue increasing funding for entitlement programs that have never worked. Blaming the seemingly able bodied is just frustration at the whole thing.

How do you see people at the library wasting their time all day unless you are there all day to observe them? And how did you come to the conclusion that they are there just to steal stuff? Maybe they are there all day because it's winter and it's cold outside. They have nothing better to do.

But you are right that the Social Services program needs to be readjusted to reward those that are looking for work, not having kids just to stay out of work and collect even more welfare.

Well the government does not just give money out to people for no reason. These people may have lost their job and have famalies at home to support. They are probably in the process of looking for another job, unskilled, mentally or physically challenged. I am sure if you were unemployed you would not be saying this.

I agree that people who are able to work should have to work.

However, just to be clear, studies have shown that conservatives are much more charitable than liberals. (Look it up if you don't believe me)

Conservatives mostly resent the thought of giving their money to the government to give to the poor. They know that most of the money will be wasted by the time it reaches its destination.
