Bally's has been sending me collection notices for the past 5years telling me I owe 2,000. I never opened an Account with Bally Total Fitness ever! When I first became aware of this situation I talked with a rep from Bally's and my soc.# is correct but my age is not. they have on File I'm 35yrs old which is 14 yrs too old. by my calculations I would have been a minor when I opened this account. How can I enforce them to clear this from my credit ratings?

i was wanting to know if its possible to sue or claim from my father for child mantanence that he never paid my mother when i was growing up i have 2 other brothers that he never contributed to us growing up . he remarried and had 2 more kids that he paid for no problem and still is paying when i was younger he had his own business as he does now but he makes lots more now and spends lots on them i feel this isnt right as we are his kids to and he never bothered its not that money matters its the principle he s our father and he should have helped my mum bring us up like he is doing now with my younger brother and sister that he dont live with any more he seems to be big headed about things now that he never had befor and always talking about what he has got i feel he ows us and i would take it all the way if i thought i would win my case is there any advise anyone can give me can i do this would he have to pay out and who would i speak to to help me thanks in advance

Instead of raising the minimum wage, why don't we first make it a law that everyone must be given a job? After all, an increased minimum wage only helps those who already have a job, why not help those who really need it and require that everyone be given a job?
If the government is able to say how much a company pays its employees, it should be able to say how many it pays.

I moved in a rented home,which was through the homeowner.I was behind two months,and had to move out.Went to court, judgement was for the homeowner.Now my wages were garnished,2wks ago.I didn"t recieve a notice from the courts stating that these proceeding were even about to start! Am I supposed to get some kind of notification before these procedings start?

I stupidly didn`t tell the dwp that me and my bf got back together,i know it was wrong and i`m not trying to justify what i done but i am upto my eyeballs in debt,anyway we were back together for 5 months and he has left again anyway so i am a single mum again.

I received a letter asking me to attend an office interview with a compliance officer about a query that has arisen about my claim to benefit.i am petrified and do wish now i had just told them but what happens if my ex is now away again?Advice apprecciated and please no nasty comments as i know what i did was wrong and i know people pay their taxes etc etc,i just want some advice.

The 13th amendment states that there should be no involuntary servitude. That is exactly what the draft is in my opinion. I mean, sure, you're paid, but you are REQUIRED to register for the draft, right?! Even if you don't want to be drafted, you are still required to go, correct? Please, no mean anti-liberal comments, just state your opinion as to why or why not it's unconstitutional.

the letter that i got saids that if i do not want to go to court, i can forfeit the bail and send money to san jose state university police dept. is it worth it to send $5000 to them?? when i call them, they told me that i might or might not get arrested and go to jail. i might just get a court date on the spot,..so plz give me some advise, thanks

I am thinking largely about crimes such as a child killed or brutalised by parents or step-parents.
I am always staggered by the lenience shown to the brutes who carry out such acts.
Why is a childs life worth less than an adults?

There's this guy whom lost a bet on the super bowl and now he has to legally change his name to Peyton Manning. But he has to go infront of a judge to see if he can. Anyways, will the court let this guy? I mean Will a judge let someone change their name to a famous persons name?

my mom and i had gone into a store last night and bought 200 dollars worth of grocerys she forgot to put to sodas and some almonds and left them in her cart totalling 24.00 dollars. we got brought up stairs and charged with Petit Larceny i didnt put any of the unpaid items in the cart my mom did but they said i was the "look out: im 17 years old and i never had anything on my record, its unfair they charged me with it when i did nothing wrong its my job to go shopping with my mom. can i fight this? will i go to jail? im 17 going to be 18 in october please help me i been upset all night. thanks

the parents therapist (the one being accused of abuse) as a young girl and they had a semi personal relationship?

In this case the therapist ignored numerous cries of the child once she found out the mother with whom she treated for years for sexual abuse as a child turned out to be the one accused of sexually abusing her son. The therapist had written letters to CPS and Law Enforcement stating that the child was fearful of his mother and suffered greatly from anxiety and ADD as a result of the abuse. The mother had changed her last name so the therapist did not find out who the mother was until later after which she changed her opinion. Are there any laws that would prevent this woman from being this childs court ordered therapist, given the situation?

Is there a hard & fast sentence for various crimes as I am continually amazed by the amount of people who go through lengthy & no doubt costly (to the rest of us) trials for such serious crimes as murder, drug dealing, firearms offences, rape etc and get handed a sentence & then a short time later are allowed to appeal & often get the term reduced on the grounds of the original sentence being too long or harsh! The police must be so frustrated to spend countless weeks & months getting someone to court / sentenced only to find later that what was a good sentence gets reduced.This sends out totally wrong message to those involved & the sentence handed down should be what it is & extended if more crimes come to light...... any thoughts?

A pipe is frozen in one of the apartments. There is no cold water, which means no toilet flushing and obviously, no cold water to drink. We haven't been able to shower (only extemely hot water comes out) They are saying that they don't want to have to dig to find out where the problem is, since they will have to tear down the walls. They are saying that we have to wait until the weather heats up, which isn't anytime soon according to the forecast, but they offered us today, after one week, to make us move permanently to another apartment so that they don't have to fix the frozen pipe, if that is indeed the problem. Can they do this? If not, what legal action can be taken to ensure they fix the problem. I failed to mention, we are the only ones in this end of the building, so we are the only ones affected.

they slap me and pinch me. last night they sprayed their cleanser on my food when cleaning. they turned the tv off. they kept telling me to get out. i yelled at them. they said that they would contact the campus police if i didn't get a hotel. they kept digging in my bag of food that i brought in from other places. they constantly give cat calls before i walk in to the store. they are immature and considerate it to be my fault if i get mad. they want me to tolerate it and develop a relationship of being their boyfriend or sugar daddy. they refuse to make me my orders. they put extra ingredients on my food. they create a hostile environment when no customers are in the store. they turn their radio on when real loud to where i can't read email. they are constantly sneaking up on me and reading my email over my shoulder. the business has internet. i am 34 male. the employees are 16 and 26 yr old females. i am a student in a restaurant at college. (ran out of words)

My daugther is nine and has not seen her biological father since she was three..The courts have order her to visit him 4hrs each weekend supervised due to a drug issue...How old does she have to be to say whether or not she wants to go??She has a father figure in her life and doesnt want to do the visit..
