We have been in a rental property for most of our 6 month tenancy. Just before Christmas, I received a phone call from our lettings agent informing us that the landlord had suggested he would like us out of the property at the end of the tenancy.

However, several weeks went by and no Section 21 (Notice to Quit) was ever received. When I called to see what was going on I was told one had been sent, but NOT by recorded delivery so there was no evidence of this. They gave handed a copy of the letter that was sent where it arose that it had in fact been sent to the wrong Post Code, and the Notice to Quit referred to a property with the wrong post code.

The Post Code quoted does not exist, however it is the same post code that is for some reason on our Tenancy Agreement.

We have not found anywhere else to move to. We have always paid the rent and the property is still in good condition. Where would we stand, legally if we decided to remain at the property and how long could we stay for?

When Government of India spends Crores of Rupees to bring people like Monica Bedi and Abu Salem back to India to try them in our court of law and before the case could be resolved, Abu Salem declares his party so he can contest for elections - what is going to be the fate of our beloved motherland? Dont you think real powers should be given to Election Commission? Dont you think the cases of this type should be handled in a Fast Track Court instead of waiting to hear some so-called Information from this type of culprits? All this is happening in our beloved motherland with the Blessings of so-called Politicians. They are the root-cause of the crime in India. Kindly suggest some punishments for them who have underworld connections. Thanks.

Have you read John Grisham's 'The Innocent Man'? If so, did it change how you feel about the death penalty? (I'm mostly interested in hearing from my fellow Americans.)
**PLEASE- no bashing or ranting. I'd like to hear what people think not in starting a fight! Thanks!

My husband won a charity raffle at the local football club at the beginning of December ( a mountain bike). We were at the draw and he gave his contact details and was told they would be in touch to arrange delivery. All the other prizes were small electrical items and the winners took them away.
Despite several calls to the club ( who have told us they are trying to get in touch with the donator) we still have no bike and no delivery date.

Where do we stand?

many thanks

Then why hasn't anyone been able to stand up and bring it back if its legal status was created solely on racism. Government has taken no actions to study it until now because it is more common nowadays. Studies have just recently found within the past 30-40 years that all the negative things said about it have had no scientific proof or studies, it was and still is false propaganda. Thanks to Yellow Journalism that people are drugged up on Prozac to calm them down instead of harmless pot.

My counselor and I became friends. She undoubtedly helped me away from a lifetime of unhappiness. We were bonded somehow and our friendship grew into a love. It's been a couple years since she has been my counselor. We are still so very close. I went and visited her a couple days ago and another enity within the county government found out and reported her. She lied and said I did not stay at her house even though it is common knowledge that we are very close. My question is not concerning her but about the enity that reported her. It seems unethical to report on the lack of ethics my friend had plus it destroys my trust with this particuliar support person within this division Clearly its taboo to have personal relationships with your clients, but I think it is unfair that against my knowing, this person took it upon herself to turn over the best friend I have ever had. She is likely to lose her carreer and home over this.

I'm from Canada and my husband is from the United States. Now that I've finally received my passport, we can begin work on the paperwork to bring me down there.

Which is fantastic but the lawyer is ticking me off.

About two months ago, my husband talked to a lawyer in New Orleans about bringing me down there. How much it would cost and the like. The lawyer emailed information to both of us so we could read it over.

I had questions so I emailed the lawyer back (only way to do it with the distance, and due to time). His reply was curt, abrupt, and frankly dismissive.

I let it go thinking that maybe he'd just had a bad day but, with the arrival of the passport (which I needed to complete the paperwork) I took another look at the paperwork and had a few more questions.

So I emailed the lawyer again and received the same curt and dismissive reply. Only this time...

(ran out of space, continued)

I am so fed up with how our justice system is ran!!! I can't beleive the things people are doing (as in crime, ect.) and then getting sentences that are completely irrelevant to what they had done. A man who helped bury a murdered womans body was sentenced 10 DAYS IN JAIL!!!, 4 years probation, and 40 hrs community service... He deserves way more than that. To me, it just seems everyone is getting off easy for the type of crime they commit!!

In the military, everyone who wears a uniform is considered a front line soldier. If the draft should be re-instated, should allowances be made for conscientious objectors for members of the military who are not members of the clergy or physicians (to include nurses and professionally trained medical staff in civilian life).

Is it fair for the front line serviceman/woman who is carrying a weapon to put his/her life on the line, while someone else refuses to carry a weapon based solely on a moral belief?

Should anyone's belief in any God, or moral conviction, be the sole reason to sufficiently disqualify that person from carrying a weapon while serving in the Armed Forces of the U.S.?

Should everyone who is physically and mentally qualified to serve in the Armed Forces be required to carry a weapon.

Your thoughts on conscientious objectors...

I have always been a good citizen, but recently I went to work for a guy to help run a business. I did not find out til it was to late that he was being watched by the local authorities for drug charges. I have now been thrown in the middle of it all and honestly had nothing to do with anything illegal. I have been reading up about the masons for some time now, well since my twins were born and I found out about all the good things the masons do and give. I have not been convicted of anything, but it is still in court. Will this keep me from being able to be a mason? I am against drugs, and now I am being looked upon as a possible drug dealer. I hope true people can honestly see the truth.
