if they make a raffle in school to get a new MP3 player is it fair to sell the tickets for $5 dollars?

it would depend on how many tickets are available. say a $200 mp3 palyer, sell only 30-40 tickets, make $100-200 profit.

also, be aware that in many states you have to give a raffle ticket upon demand if asked for one, but many don't know that.

so, basically, you have to limit the tickets to keep the odds fair
