I don't think so. I think if they find you they will still make you pay. Or your grandchildren.

New Jersey will suspend your driver's license and issue a warrant for your arrest (I know this through experience)... there is no statute of limitation.

washington state is 2 years I believe. 2 or 3 not quite sure
