I am thinking largely about crimes such as a child killed or brutalised by parents or step-parents.
I am always staggered by the lenience shown to the brutes who carry out such acts.
Why is a childs life worth less than an adults?

Bexs.
It was that case that prompted my question.
I'm not ashamed to say I wept when I heard the report on the television.
It's cases like that they make me want to believe there really is a hell.

Here in the UK the law is an ***.

Its protects the abusers and damages the child.

If a child is in care and at risk, they are given less priority than a burglery.

The sentences given out are lenient because judges whom have the power to act don't and i think there should be judges that specialise in child abuse cases dealing with child abusers and not some judge who finds giving a much heavier sentence for tax fraud more important than a child abuser who has just killed or seriously damaged a childs life for life.

When they get convicted they are given a life of luxery in prison and released early and thats british justice for you.

They should build a prison thats isolated from everywhere, has dark cold rooms, bad food, no personal items and make them do hard labour every day of their life with no parol because then they will be able to experience just a tiny bit of what the victim has to live with after abuse.

For the person who has rated thumbs down to me here your a disgrace and you should be flogged. Id be more than happy to flog you and id be happy to be left with a child abuser in a room alone but he wouldnt walk out of it because im not that defenceless little girl anymore.

Every child has a right to grow up happy and safe

I've always liked the idea of hog tying child molesters and leaving them in a room with 20-30 parents who are given baseball bats.

Otherwise, public hangings for those who harm children would be satisfying. A firing squad has merit too. Perhaps doing the same thing to the adult as they did to the child? I'm pretty open minded. So long as they are not allowed to live I am not all that concerned about how they die.

In the UK the sentences are extremely low. Most murder is reduced to manslaughter and you will get about three years, reduced to half immediately on entry to prison. So about 18 months. Death by drink driving or under the influence of drugs does not usually end up in a prison sentence - even if you don't have insurance. We have just had a case where a disabled child was made to eat her own excrement, had her hair literally ripped out of her head and made to sleep naked in a toilet basin by her parents - 12 years was the sentence - it will probably be reduced substantially. The kid was supposed to be in the care of social services but they couldn't get into their flat - oh well! As you can see, we really do take crime seriously in this country............... Our prisons are full up now so pretty much anything goes.

It should carry a STIFFER penalty, for sure.

I say, a public flogging and jail time for the abuser,
and
if someone kills a child--(willfully),
the electric chair after fifty lashings--lighter sentences and harsher sentences depending on the circumstances of each case of course.

Children are defensless and innocent and anyone who does harm to them deserves the stiffest penalty of the law, beyond that in my opinion, since the law is ridiculously light on the worst human scum who do not deserve to suck air.

In the UK there is only one sentence for murder. The reason people get away with lesser penalties is that they are charged with a lesser offence which is easier to prove and has less statutary defences in law.I who ill treat a child should get away with it even though idiot doctors and do gooders tell us they are victims too.

What an excellent question, I often wonder about that myself.

I believe any child predator should be met with the fullest penalty of death.

It is deplorable to hurt something helpless like a child and someone who does it deserves to have their tickets canceled permanently.

I felt for the disabled girl tortured by her parents.but at least the judge did he's job in giving the wife 11yrs 6 months and him for 10yrs 6 months. The extra money to protect them inside makes me
angry. They should be thrown to the other cons.
