i understand the us might have / make more money but are we really free? why is my boyfriend going to jail for selling someone drugs( for making a stupid mistake as a teenager) now 4 years later the govn. wants to send him away after we have a baby and good jobs.... how is that free, im not saying he doesnt deserve to be punishd but god made weed man made ciggrettes and thre both really bad the governmnt is corrupt and does anyone even notice?

my fiance' hired a lawyer for his defence we paid him $1500 right up front . what he chared us ..spoke to him 2 times after that ..now he wont return our calls been 6 months since we talked to him i keep leaving mess. for him but he never calls me are my fiance' back i finally got a hold of him 3 days ago and he told me he was going to speak to the DA about the case on tuesday i called the DA and the DA knew nothing about my fiance' and admitted to talking to my lawyer about other cases ..i found out my lawyer is just hoping for it to slip between the cracks and wants us to live like fugitives (there has been no arrest are charges filed yet).... we can NOT live like that we just want to fight out case and be done with it so we can plan our wedding and go on with our lives... we feell we have been had by this lawyer!!!!!!!!!
P.S. the only reason i got a hold of him 3 days ago is cause his secratary was out and he answered his phone... he was very suprised to hear it was me!!!!!!!!

She took a picture of me and my best friend, wow's a guy, sleeping on a bed. we didn't have sex, or anything... we're in a comprising position. She snapped the picture at a party. She says that she'll show it to his girlfriend, and my parents. She's angery with me for no reason. I talked to his girlfriend, and she saw the picture, she didn't care since she knows we're friends and we were asleep. Know I'm not even sure what she wants, and she threatens to show it to my mom, which would drive the wedge even more between us as it is. what should I do, the cops won't do a damn thing, because she isn't soliceting me for money... I think she's crazy, maybe power hungry, I don't know.

this is the situation- this guy i know frauded me and atleast 6 other girls that i know about over $50,000. there are probably many other girls that he has frauded and i know he is continuing to do it to other girls right now. we have all charged him but the police won't do anything. well, the police have arrested him many times and he just goes to jail for 4-7 days, then he's back out being a criminal. so i want to make a website about him with his picture warning other girls about him. is this illegal?

I've been fighting with my friend who says that its never illegal to call someone a name. Freedom of speech only gets you so far. Maybe blurting a name real quick isn't illegal, but if you make it personal and use the name? Isn't that harrassment or something?

I had driven probably 5 blocks to get a camera from where I had been. I was on my way back when this happened: so he saw an x on my hand and made me get out and do a breathalizer, well I had had a taste of my friends drink and blew a .01. I'm not making excuses for what I did, stupid. Yes. I was just wondering if anyone has had this happened and what to expect in court and my best options as to what to do there? I'm 19 turning 20 soon, and ahh... I already kenw better but made a stupid impulsive decision and am willing to pay the consequences but would like to lessen them as much as possible? It's ridiculous! People sue over namecalling. A woman sued McDonald's because she spilled her coffee and it burned her, and the cup didn't warn her that the coffee was hot. Did she really think she was being served iced coffee?

A woman sued Disney World because her young child saw Goofy take off his head in a backroom and the child had "emotional damages."

So why do judges award damages for things so stupid?

I think what these people need is to be beaten with a metal rod. Then they will have legitimate "damages."
