IMHO (In my humble opinion)...
You can tell the truth about your situation and put the details up so that people can understand the specifics.
I've seen many sites where names are posted, but you cannot post identifying information such as a birthdate, address, or social security number. I did see one site where the blogger posted their own email address to contact for more specific information.
You can ask the others that were also defrauded to post their stories with you. It may help people avoid the guy, and even might get the police to take more notice.
Also, try telling the police what you intend to do. They may (or may not) give you accurate answers as far as how much detail you can post (or blog).
The real trick is to give as much information as you can without specifically identifying the guy, such as instead of his full name, use "Jim P." and instead of an address, state the town or neighborhood. Be specific and vague at the same time, and have someone objective read it too.
Try to have some form of documentation or proof for anything you claim, even if that would be handwritten or typed notes to yourself about something that happened.
Just don't go so far as to put yourself at risk as exposing him.
Good luck.

If everything you put up there is true, it's probably not illegal. Liable (printing false things about someone) is also really hard to prove. You probably would end up okay, especially if you prefaced everything with a beginning that said these are your opinions of Jimmy or whatever.
However, if you have doubts, best bet is to avoid it, or talk to a lawyer. If he DID fraud you out of 50 grand and you can prove it, you can always sue him to get the money back even if you can't send him to jail. If you look you should be able to find a lawyer who would represent you for free on something like that too.

YOU SAW to catch a predator, you can post it
THE TRUTH IS YOUR DEFENSE!
1. go to www.ripoffreport.com
and put in a plug about him there...you wont have to make a website, as soon as anyone puts his name into the computer, it will pop up!
2.Be sure to put his name addy and phone number on there too (make up fake shyt for yours)
3. repeat steps one and two as several different people over the course of a month or two to really make it seem like he is an azzhole, do it until your portion of the $50,000 feels like it has been avenged

It is legal if you are telling the truth. If he doesn't like it, he can sue you, BUT he has to prove that what you are saying is false.
It sounds like you will be doing a public service by warning the public about this guy. Get all of the other victims to pass on the URL (when you get it) to everyone they know, and have them pass it on too. Go for it!

I get e-mails with the "priceless" pictures of women showing their boobs, crotches, etc. and I doubt whoever started them were ever confronted.
Why not just post his picture on an e-mail with the reason behind it. Send it to all you know and ask them to do the same.
BUT ask them to delete your name and address from it before sending. That way, no one will be sure who started sending it if he does get a hold of it.
You may be saving some poor woman alot of money and pride.
I am sorry you have been through all this.
GOOD LUCK

You can be a news site if you want . . .
You just cannot engage in slander but outing him with his history and arrests is fine.
The police can only arrest him, not DO anything else.
It is the courts that have to do the rest , are you doing your part for the prosecutor ?
And it is defraud . . . If you want to be taken serious, you should learn to spell.

I appreciate your guts to corner the culprit, but, it appears to be tough since he uses many loop holes in the law to escape unscathed.
Instead of fighting individualy, take help from women's welfare organizations like National Commission for Women in India or similar one in a country where you are living!
Wish you success!

Fraud is illegal, warning people about this @$$h01e isn't exactly illegal, but have airtight evidence in case he sues for libel.
