I have civil restraints against my ex - he emails tirades full of curses and disrespectful talk, speaks hatefully to me, calls me stupid, etc, call my home at all hours.... my lawyer says this won't convine a judge he is harassing me.... what would?

I bought a car for someone in my name the ageement was that she would maintain insurance and make payments. She had accident and was found at fault she only had liabilty insurance so the company sued me for the payment. Can i take her to small claims court and will i have a case in making her pay back the money i had to pay.

I lent a vehicle to a friend in Med school so he could get around, I gave him the car title on a verbal agreement on trust, that he would pay me back when he finished med school in a year. He graduated, then skipped town on me, I found out where he is living now, one state away! what is the best way to go about trying to get any money owe to me back. The vehicle was only $ 3,000.
But its more of a Miss use of someones trust and kindness!

I am being blackmailed by a man who I met online, and had a relationship with. We broke up a long time ago. He threatens to tell my husband about the ordeal. He recorded our msn conversations, and will amil it and fax it to my husband. He wants me to wire him $5000. And he is not in the United States at this time. What can I do. Law Enforcement, please give me your advice. Thank You

Someone I know worked at a chinese restuarant and although they paid her more then the going rate per hour the owner kept the tips. I told her that customers leave the tips for the service not the owner. If I found out that a restuarant was doing that I would not go there again and I might say something not nice to them too.

The Justice of the Peace, myself (defendant), and the Plaintiff were the only people in the building. I was ultimately denied the change of venue, due to the fact of not writing the Precinct number in my county on the request. Also I was going to attend a march for MLK in San Antonio, TX, but was unable to do that as well. Please shed some light on this matter for me if you could. Thank You.

this woman claims my husband signed a prommisory note. We have seen the note and it is signed with a line. The woman has contacted a lawyer and is seeking payment what recourses do i have in Ca to go after this woman myself in a court of law.She is a stalker and is using every means she can to get back with my husband. I fill this is her desperate last move. I want to stop her madness .Can I seek damages for the pain this woman has inflicted on my children and myself she is obsessed. she calls friends trying to get in touch with him. She has made sure that where ever we have lived she lives less than quarter mile away. She parks across the street and watches the house etc she is a real wack . What right does a woman in Calif. have?

I work as a cashier part-time to help pay for college. Yesterday I was ringing up a lady who could only speak Spanish. I don't know how to speak Spanish and she kept on trying to talk to me about something. I figured it might be a question, so I said I don't speak spanish, I'll get someone else over here who can. I paged for my manager, who can speak Spanish, to come over. Meanwhile I guess the lady was upset about the delay and she began screaming at me in Spanish and throwing things. My manager came over, calmed her down and finished up her order. I asked him why she was so angry and she had told him it was because she had to wait, and she said that I should be able to speak Spanish by now! I'm in America not Mexico she should learn English instead of expecting me to learn Spanish! My manager then wrote me up for getting a customer complaint! I refused to sign it and he said if I don't sign it tommorrow, I'm fired. Is this legal?

The manager there want me out. She recently held a meeting with me and wrote a letter saying that I have 10 cigarette breaks per day (untrue) has questioned my sickness ( broken toe which I have evidence of) and just is basically making me feel terrible.

She has been typing up minutes from our meeting for the past 2 days and when I questioned her about the outcome she said she was seeking legal advice and waiting on their decision.

I got sick 3 times today because of worry, have been crying, losing sleep and it seems there is nothing I can do because i have been there only 2 1/2 months.

She has let the power go to her head, hidden bullying really leaving me dangling on a string. Does anyone know what i can do?

I was arrested for a felony but the DA is willing to drop it to a gross misdeameanor. I have gone to court but my hearing is extending until the end of next month. I am wondering what will show up on my background check if somebody runs one now? Will it show I was arrested and what for? Or that I am being charged with this crime? I have not been formally charged with anything yet or gone in front of the judge.

Im asking about a friend from bakc home in Florida. He has been going through the courts for 2 yrs now and should be picking a jury soon. He has 6 charges against - all the same basicly. I belive they are sperating them into a few different ones. Example the 3 cases to hold 2 charges. During trial will the other cases be aloud to be known? Will the jury know about the other charges or are they kept private till the next "case"?

I was recently summoned to jury duty, came for three times and the judge dismissed my panel as well as others. Several days later, i found my case number to be pending on the website again. Does that mean that i have to do it one more time? I hate it a lot cuz it's waste of times, can't work, can't do anything. Why do we have to do it? This is a stupidest law to me, it sucks.

Feminism: Equality or equitable treatment of women, (and men).

If a woman, your wife, works and produces 25% more than another man or woman, should she get the same pay ?

Should she not get 25% more ?

Is not the logical need for women to be treated with equity and not merely equal to other people ?

Does not "equality", presumes or imply that we treat people equally if they are equal, and treat them unequally if they are unequal ?

To treat all people 'equally' is part of the reality of reality ?

I had a premature baby in September of 2005. My husband has excellent insurance, that covers the majority of expenses involved in a regular birth. Unfortunately, I went into labor early and my son spent some time in the ICU, which is not fully covered. We paid some on this bill, through a hospital payment plan and then worked out an agreement through the hospital billing center that we would pay the remaining balance(approximately $1,000) when my husand got his tax return. Since then the hospital has changed management and last week the Sherriffs Dept.delivered a summon that were being sued for the $1,000 and $500 court cost. We always pay our bills and had no idea. My husband called the collection agent and offered $1,000 by the end of the month(court date 1/23). They said no and will not give us the lawyers name & # to make same offer. What should we do & why should we pay court, when that can be avoided with our offer? How do we avoid court and ruined credit from this?
