I bought a car for someone in my name the ageement was that she would maintain insurance and make payments. She had accident and was found at fault she only had liabilty insurance so the company sued me for the payment. Can i take her to small claims court and will i have a case in making her pay back the money i had to pay.

she also signed a statement stating she was suppose to maintain insurance and make payments i also have a letter she mailed me stating she would pay me 150 a week until it was paid off.

You can try, but you will have a tough time since you signed for the car. If you don't have some sort of written agreement, your burden of proof will become even larger. Judges usually don't like to hear about verbal contracts because usually people will just lie and say they never agreed to pay. Then, it's just your word against the other persons.

IT MIGHT WORK SHE WAS THE DRIVER. YOU NEVER PUT YOU NAME ON ANYTHING THAT'S NOT YOURS. NOT EVEN FOR YOUR GIRLFRIEND.
