I was arrested for a felony but the DA is willing to drop it to a gross misdeameanor. I have gone to court but my hearing is extending until the end of next month. I am wondering what will show up on my background check if somebody runs one now? Will it show I was arrested and what for? Or that I am being charged with this crime? I have not been formally charged with anything yet or gone in front of the judge.

Your record will show the felony arrest and the misdemeanor conviction. And nothing is ever truly 'expunged.'

When you are arrested, it will show the "charge" they arrested you under. Once it is resolved, it will still show the charge and the conviction unless you are able to get it expunged.
