My boyfriend and I were both arrested and charged with Domestic Violencein Florida. We hired a friend that was an Attorney, and he wrote a letter to the D.A's office basically saying that we would use our 1st ammendment rights, and requesting that the charges be dropped. We recieved a letter from the Attorney about 2 weeks ago stating that the charges against my boyfriend had been dropped, and that my arraingment had been cancelled, so it was logical to assume that my charges were going to be dismissed also. I called the courts today, and no court date is scheduled. My question is, does this mean that the charges have been dropped and can I relax?

A friend told me that way back when, some guy shipped his entire house to another location using the US Postal Service, and that the USPS had to do it because they didn't have a law making it illegal. I was just wondering if it was really a law or not.

My friend has been living at my house for the past 2 years. I want to ask him to move out. He acts like he owns the house and is letting me stay here.He has a child who lives primarily with the mother. I agreed that his son, 8, could stay here every other weekend. He brought his son up for the entire week this week and didnt even ask me first. The house is really too small for this, and the child can be quite rude.He plays loud music when I am trying to study, has weird friends, and does not pull his weight financially. Do I have to formally evict him? Does it make a difference that I own the house and live here also? Will it take months to get him out of here? I have tried talking to him about this stuff, things improve temporarily, then go back to where they were

I am in a community program that tutors at risk teens and young adults. There is a 19 year old female from Mexico (she is legal, with a green card) I am tutoring who is pregnant with her 4th child. She says she wants another child b/c she gets more welfare money...WIC, medicaid, gov't gives her child support, free daycare, lowered rent, phonebills, etc. I consider myself very liberal but this is rediculous! Do you think welfare is taken advantage of???

LONDON, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Britain may institute a new law that says men can be charged with rape if they have sex with a woman who has consumed alcohol.

ok this is getting too much. I say, if this the case anywhere, then make it 1) a law that women who sleep with men who drink are arrested too, and/or 2) women are no longer allowed to drink with men.

what do you all think? would that be fair?

He keeps saying that until i'm 22, the courts own me, and can dictate where I live and stuff..... and that doesn't seem like it would be legal to me <_<

And I plan on moving out when i'm 18 and he keeps saying I have to live with him until the court papers are changed or I turn 22, What is THAT all about? Everyone I talk to about he says he's lying about the whole thing.

Anyone got any info about this?

Over the holidays my parents informed me that I was to be executor of their wills because they think my brothers will fight if one of them is named executor (I'm the only daughter). So what exactly will I have to do? They have always farmed so they own almost 1,000 acres, plus farm equipment and livestock. Am I going to have to deal with all of that?

I'm 18 and was involved in an online relationship with a girl that i thought was 19 for a good couple months. I became infatuated with her and ended up failing my first semester of college pretty much. I thought i loved her. Then a couple days before she decides to come down and visit me finally, she tells me she's actually 12... And pretty much the whole person i "thought" i knew was false in every way, background story, family, ethnicity... All the pictures she showed me were of her friend, who actually had the same name also but moved out of state. I was emotionally destroyed. I couldn't believe it. I also payed for her phone bill once.. I'm just so emotionally recked.. i just want to know if i can make a legal case out of this.. Don't flame me please.. i know how stupid i am.. any advice is appreciated thanks.

I was involved in a accident, The police officer said i failed to yeild the other driver. There was no car insight when i turned. I was told it would not be my fault if the driver hit my car anywhere from the back to to the bumper. Is this right? I did not get a ticket, but he put in report i failed to yeild. I strongly feel it was not my fault.

This is what happens when you have poor leadership. The racists come out. The war mongers are loose. Look at the crimes being committed in Iraq. All the excuses are gone and now they say because we love the Iraqi people. It is a slaughter house over there.
Wake up all you macho internet tough guys. We have real problems and idiots like you to look forward too.

It started looking fishy when the C.I.A. kept killing his lawyers. I am not sure but it seemed that judge was extremely biased. He kind of even looked like those German judges from the Nazi era. Is this an example of all the executions Bush has relished in when he was govenor of Enron.
