It started looking fishy when the C.I.A. kept killing his lawyers. I am not sure but it seemed that judge was extremely biased. He kind of even looked like those German judges from the Nazi era. Is this an example of all the executions Bush has relished in when he was govenor of Enron.

You are either one of Saddam's followers or are a Charles Manson fan and definitely an idiot. Personally, I believe in democracy, but with all of the evidence that was piled against that monster, he did not deserve a trial and should be executed by the survivors, if any, of the people he murdered. If you are stupid enough to believe the CIA murdered all his lawyers, why don't you hop a plane and go live over there? Happy trails; you won't be missed.

Hell no it wasn't fair .That was cut and dried before it ever began .He was on trial for killing 148 people . We killed and maimed 500,000 civilians with bombs .We are there for oil trying to force feed our beliefs on people with a completely different culture and views .At a cost of hundreds of billions of dollars and 3,000 American lives. For what,we put him in power equiped his army against Iran .Never cared one bit until he went into Kuwait and we saw a chance to steal some of the largest oil reserves in the middle east .His trial was a political stage show for the U .S .He was never a threat to our country .We lied about weapons of mass destruction for an excuse to invade and take over . He at least had a stable society .Now look at it since we gave them democracy The country is a ruins .People arent safe any where .Our country is less safe from terrorist .Why wouldn't it be .How would you feel if they had the power and resources we have and invaded our country and forced everyone to convert to Islam . Then was going to hang our president . The only way he had any chance of a fair trial was in a international court . Not by the people we got dangling from strings like a puppet .The whole Iraq war was political ,about money and oil and the loosers are the Americans killed and the American tax payers and the people of Iraq .So rich politicians could get even richer

No, it didn't. the fact that his lawyers had less then a week to look through thousands of documents, the fact that his defense kept getting killed with no chance for replacement (probably not he CIA though- the USA had a n interest in making the trial look legit) I don't think the trial was the least bit fair.

He should have been summarily executed, the trail was to salve our consciences. By showing the hand of fair play we are saying that we are not as bad as him.
But as the US put him in power, and kept him there, maybe we felt we owed him one.
