His attitude alone is arrogant and abusive, but he has lied and failed to uphold the constitution of the United States. His behavior regarding 911 appears criminal, he misled us into an illegal war and his arrogance continues to go unchallenged. We are in extreme danger?

Just recently, Mark Foley was found not guilty of his crimes of attempted pedophilia. After confiscating his computer and finding what they did, after the confessions of the pages, and after all those who knew about it and told nobody, he walks free. What are your thoughts concerning this man and the justice, or lack thereof, that he received?

Whether or not offenders ages 18 and under convicted of murder has long been a controversial issue. What arguments, facts, or details support the opinion that such individuals are not deserving of the death penalty.

If a person were sentenced to a set time in prison for a sex crime, say 6 years, and was released after serving the entire sentence day for day, and are told when they walk out of the prison that they are now a free man, then wouldn't making that person have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his natural life count as cruel and unusal punishment? He was senteced to 6 years in prison, not a life sentence. Why dont we make a car thief have to register as a car thief for the rest of his life, or a crack head?

Does anyone else feel that, while sex offenders are out there, that maybe society has gone a little over board with them? I mean you cant turn on the tv news any more with out hearing something about it. What about the ones what get out and try to actually abide by societies laws? why should they have to pay for the way a FEW ( yes few ) repeat offenders are? Does anyone else realize that sex crimes have the LOWEST risk of re-offending??

I have seen numerous answers and questions which assume that supporting the death penalty and not abortion is hypocritical, or vice versa. So I thought it was time to try and establish some kind of consensus about this subject.

As always, the best answer gets 10 points and my respect.

This was a news article with Peta in trouble again. Who do these people think they are???

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are in hot water with police following a dog napping incident in Virginia

Southampton County detectives in Virginia are investigating a dognapping. They abducted a Walker Hound Wednesday at about 10 in the morning.

The hounds are known for tracking foxes and deer, And in Southampton County, hunters often let these dogs roam free for hours to sniff out prey.

That's what this particular dog was doing Wednesday when two PETA workers found it. Deputies say a witness saw the women take the dog from the side of the road and lead it into their PETA- marked car.

Apparently the dogs were wearing collars that they later found on the side of the road.

I got a speeding ticket at the end of November here in Michigan. I cannot have 2 points on my license at all because of my job as an EMT or I will get fired.

I worte a letter to the court explaing to the judge that I could not have two more points on my license because of my EMT job.
I also expressed my desire to become a better driver and if I could take a drivers improvment class and pay the ticket but not get the points on my license. I got a letter in the mail from the court saying that I have a court date in January and that after the Judge read my letter that she wanted to set up an informal hearing on the matter. My question is what am I going to expect now. Does that mean that I could very well take the driver improvment class? Does she want me to come in and discuss it or what does it mean that she wants a hearing on the mater after she read my letter?

A British Historian was jailed after being found guilty of Holocaust denial at a trial in Austria. He disputed the existence of gas chambers at Auschwitz. A number of European countries have laws against Holocaust denial but would the distortion of such a fundamental period of history greater than the right to express contrary interpretations - however unpleasant, and indeed inaccurate, they may be.

My husband is a paraplegic and has been for 10 years. We play pool on an APA pool league. The pool hall/bar is owned by a husband and wife. The wife doesn't like my husband and makes it well known to everyone that she doesn't like him. I haven't been able to figure out why because he has never done anything to her. As a matter of fact we make a point of staying away from her. Well, 2 weeks ago a fight broke out in the bar and my husband went to help pull people apart. Around 20 other people did the same thing. The female owner just lost it on my husband. Well last week when we went to play pool, this woman thought that Tom (my husband) owed her an apology from the previous week. Tom felt like he didn't but went to apologize to her anyway to be the bigger "man". In front of everyone in the bar, she told him to "shut up" and "to take his unsincerely apology and shove it up his crippled, wheelchaired a**". At that point he was so humiliated that he left. Can this woman legally say this?
