This was a news article with Peta in trouble again. Who do these people think they are???

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are in hot water with police following a dog napping incident in Virginia

Southampton County detectives in Virginia are investigating a dognapping. They abducted a Walker Hound Wednesday at about 10 in the morning.

The hounds are known for tracking foxes and deer, And in Southampton County, hunters often let these dogs roam free for hours to sniff out prey.

That's what this particular dog was doing Wednesday when two PETA workers found it. Deputies say a witness saw the women take the dog from the side of the road and lead it into their PETA- marked car.

Apparently the dogs were wearing collars that they later found on the side of the road.

I suspect most animal rights activists either suffer from an overdeveloped sense of anthropomorphism or the same turned on its head. Who doesn't sympathize with the deer in Bambi? But real deer behavior (and hunter behavior, too!) isn't at all like that. I imagine there'd be fewer PETA people if they saw a boar hog kill and eat his piglets. I've never met an animal rights activist who grew up in a rural environment.
(For another poster: One doesn't remove the collar from a lost dog. The collar often has an identifier on it.)

They believe in their cause but that doesn't make taking dogs that belong to someone right. If fox hunting is legal in Southampton County then they should just be adult enough to deal with it. I'm okay with not mistreating animals for the sake of mistreating them but stealing someones pets crosses the line.

Peta was executing dogs and cats that they promised to adopt out. They were caught red handed with illegal euthanasia drugs near some dumpsters filled with animals.

I don't agree with 90% of what PETA does, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time. Maybe they thought the dog was lost.

What is amazing is that these same P.E.T.A. representatives will walk past a homeless person on the street that asks for food.

P.E.T.A. doesn't think because to think requires intelligence and 90% of what they do is devoid of intelligence.
