I wouldn't label it as an edge, but they do have some benefits depending on which language, where they are located and the type of law they practice.
I live in California, here a lawyer that speaks Spanish and English will often have a longer client list. Lawyers that specialize in housing, smaller claims, work related incidents, etc. often have clients that speak little or no English.

Of course, like if you live in Wisconsin, english is fine, but if yo live in a border town, or another state heavy populated with spainish speakers, it good to know both. As per the Canandian border, its good to know english and french. Its to the lawyers bebefit to know several languages.

Actually, in most professions knowing more than one language is beneficial.
No need to say you know another language..You can just listen and pick up some very interesting info from people who are talking. Especially if they are talking about you :P

I speak three languages and it's funny to hear what people who don't know you are saying when they think you don't understand.
