Public trust. Being elected to office(any gov't office from Mayor, Govenor,Representative, Senator,Judge, President) So an elected official is brought in to serve the Public that hired him. Therefore he's open to critisism, and praises as well. The Public can terminate is elected duty via not voting for the individual again since they own him (hired him = public property).
