I need to find legal resources about sexual abuse cases within the family. Victim is 5 yr. old girl and the one who did the crime is a 10 yr. old boy. I need to know about my rights as a parent. I need to know who I should talk to and what I should do first. Maybe a name of a good Lawyer in the San Francisco Bay Area who deals with this sort of thing? I need help!

I advertised on e-bay an x box for auction within 1 day it came back sold by one of your subscribers under the name of (tracemusaxx7@yahoo.com) It would appear that Pay-pal and other e-bay users no about this person. She asks for the goods to be shipped to Nigeria and a spoof e-mail comes back in the format of Pay pal payment made. What can you do about it ?

The guy in question was sentanced to serve 1 year in prison for assult. He served only a quarter of his sentance, when released was tagged and put on licence.

Part of his early release meant that he has to attend probation for a year and complete a 9 month anger program.

He has completely turned his life around since being released, has missed 1 - 2 probation appointments for which he phoned and explained. The anger program however, he has failed to attend. He was given the oppertunity to attend on a second occasion and again failed to attend. His failing to turn up were due to work commitments and just because he couldn't be bothered to go!

He will now be taken back to court for resentancing. What is the likley hood of him being sent back to prison for a stretch?

Does everyone remember the government talking about a list of peoples phone numbers that telemarketers would not be able to call? Is it out there? How do I get on it?

Does this 'right' it confers ultimately lead to much more crime and suffering? This kind of came out of an earlier question where people mentioned this right but without considering if it is appropriate now.

Ohio just passed a public smoking ban. I have been told that bars will actually increase business because all the non-smokers will now come out of hiding and spend their money at bars. Is this true? Please answer if you have experience in states that already have public smoking bans (like CA, NY, FL) AND your business was affected. I'm a barmaid and I'm worried I won't make enough money now because the majority of my good tippers are smokers. I work in a private club (VFW), so the general public isn't allowed there anyways.

I'm Brazilian and I'd like to know what would be the correct term to refer to the period of remunerated work "offered" by a company when one of the employees is dismissed; is it "prior notice" or "prior advice". Could you exemplify it with sentences? Thank you in advance.

Our voters just banned public smoking. I am a hard core smoker who quit 12 days ago cold turkey...yee ha! I don't believe that smokers should force non-smokers to breathe our smoke. It's not our right to do that. However, I don't think it should be up to the public to tell business owners whether they want to make their own business smoking or non-smoking. I do believe the business owner should be able to decide. After all, smoking is legal (make it illegal like we do other drugs if it's so bad) and the business owner put alot of money, sweat and tears to be the owner. This is what free enterprise is all about. Businesses who want to cater to smokers should be allowed to and those who don't shouldn't have to. The employees would need to get another job if they don't like smoking...after all, it is free will to be employed...we aren't forced labor here! Businesses who catered to smokers would be hit with higher insurance prices, etc.

Not long ago my grand children were taken by CPS from mother doing meth was at birth in 2 babies. CPS mentioned one day that we don't know where the parents were when doing the drug. I was wondering if they did do them in the house with the kids or the car would they too get high? Do they do drug testing on children under 2? I would think if it is true the kids were actually there while they done this cps would test kids to get parents even more on endangerment and they would know if parents are telling the truth, What kind of test could they do on children that young? they were living in a apartment kids in bedroom with door closed? I don't know how far away the rooms actually were but what I remember the apartment was pretty small.

My son is 15 years old and physically disabled for which he wears special shoes. For quite some time now he has been bullied at school because of this. Along with him his cousin (my nephew) has also been the victim from the same people simply because he is his cousin. Yesterday the boys started bullying them again and my nephew started fighting with one of the boys. My son did not! After my nephew and the boy stopped fighting two other boys, Totaly unrelated to all of this (aged 15 and 16) then attacked my nephew so badly they broke his jaw. The school was aware the bullying was going on and did nothing to stop it. Then they failed to phone an ambulance for my nephew and instead phoned my sister to come and collect him and left him standing in reception on his own to be collected. They also did not phone the police. Now the friends of the boys concerned (also the same boys who have been bullying them) are saying that my son held the first boy down for my nephew to hit.

I have had my car stolen worth 5000k, I have been slammed with 7000 in closing costs on a house that i didnt want, and I purchased a car on ebay for 2500 for a car i didnt receive and Im out 2500 bucks. Thats a total of 14,500 of my hard earned loss money.
Its taken me 10 years to save that kind of money and its gone that quickly because of deceptive people, deceptive business practices, and greed. I HAVE THE HUMAN RIGHT FOR HONEST BUSINESS DEALINGS AND TRANSACTIONS(Im against "buyer beware" crap because it is just a catchy phrase used to empower consumers against fraud. But in reality,"buyer beware" means having no laws to protect innocent victims from business deception.(If you get screwed its your loss.) Govt and commerce basically wipes their hands clean.
If this is the shitty world we live in-----and I work so hard for my money only for sharks to take advantage of me-----then I have the right to force honest business dealings with a gun. Whats your thoughts on this?

I'm 27 and work until 5.30pm every day. There is no staff car park and as the town is full of parking restrictions, I have to park down backstreets that are 15 minutes' walk from the office as they are the only place with longterm parking for £1 a day. All town centre parking has either a max stay of 2 hours or is £5 a day which I can't afford. Free parking is even further away than where I usually park. Now that it is dark when I leave work, I have to walk all the way to my car alone. Most people get the train but I don't live near a station and can't afford the fare either as my salary is so low. The only other people I know who drive work different hours to me so I can't walk with them. It's not the safest of areas and I am worried about what could happen. Is there anything I can do to protect myself and should the company be doing more to help?

My ex agreed to make a quit claim deed on a property that I help purchased. Later I agreeded to do the same. I was about to have it recorded at the clerks office and found it to be no good. She initiated and completed all the paperwork and has worked in a law office that produced these items and is a subject matter expert. Can she be charged with fraud or any other criminal act to gain by deception, also know as theft. All documents were notarized but never filed. Should they have been filed by her if this was the intent.
