Does everyone remember the government talking about a list of peoples phone numbers that telemarketers would not be able to call? Is it out there? How do I get on it?

Yes, I do recall that, but like you, I haven't heard anything much about it of late either.

The place to enquire would probably be The Office of Fair Trading, as I think they were involved in it.

According to this site, it is not yet active, but will be in 2007. If it's anything like the U.S. one, the government has to jump through hoops before it becomes active.

I think the government still needs to pass the bill to make it legislation. Once this happens it will still take a while to implement, so I wouldn't hold my breath!
