With the right lawyer anything is possible. The best thing for you to do is talk to one and see if your probation can be transferred to the state your BF is moving to. Be care full you don't in-peed him with the Army in the service he will be as guilty of your crime as you are, it is called guilt by association, and can cause a whole lot of problems for him, I've been there done that with an ex-wife

Hi jen. I too am on probation for a dwi and I too moved out of state; so I can tell you a positive answer to that question. First thing you need to do is go to court house and speak to the judge's secretary. (judge you are to appear in front of will be listed on your ticket the officer gave you on the arrest date) Tell her what you're plans are, where you plan to move to, and ask her if you can speak to the judge about getting your dwi case and probation charge transferred to the state you are planning to move to. It should be NO problem....BUT please make sure you speak to judge and have it ok'd by state you were charged w/ dwi before you move to new state. Although, I too moved out of state...6 mths later I had to move back to state i got dwi charge because I was unable to speak w/ judge before last minute move out of state(resulting from a break-up) and I was to appear in court a month later for driving w/o a license; and even though i called the judge right after move & ask her if I could get cases transferred and would not able to appear in court, she would not give me a yes or no decision and this was an ongoing undecided decision as far as I was told....6 mths after I moved; someone from city/state I was charged asked me on yahoo messenger if I knew I had a warrant for my arrest. I didn't believe it; because I was keeping in contact w/ judge and she never said anything to me. I decided to ask her anyways...and it was True. Her reason for this warrant was based on a false reason because;besides my not notifing her prior to move; she didnt think I had sent my final fine payment so she was very rude. Even though;(shortly after we spoke) she did call me back so she could appoligize to me; because City Hall informed her that I did have my fines paid in full; she had already made her decision. So I got an apt up here a few days before I moved back, got my son and me back here 2 nites before I had to appear in court, got him enrolled in school 1st day here, and since then I have gotten everything to do with my charges/convictions taken care of just waiting to renew license...since last charge suspended my license for a year. 5 more mths to go..boo hoo. I learnt my lesson did you? In meantime got a job I absolutely love, so I plan 2 stay here for that reason. Hope this Helps . It really should. Good luck.

You are probably under a non supervised probation....the type you're on most likely is to make sure you don't commit the crime again.
So it would be safe to say you can move anywhere...but your probation status will follow and allows arrest if you violate.
