International court of justice is not competent to deal with such cases. It will deal with a dispute raise by a nation as against another nation and only if the latter is willing to submit itself before the said court, it can be adjudicated by it. If Putin is said to have committed a crime in London, it is open to the Scotland Yard either suo moto or on a complaint preferred by an aggrieved party to investigate it and bring him to book.

I do not think Putin did it. There is not enough evidence to prove it and it is not his style. Besides, the spy in question is not a figure of such a great importance. Can you imagine what a complicated procedure it would have been to organize such a devilish enterprise? I do not think that from the Federal Security Services point of view he was worth it. I feel awful though that any human being left this world is such a horrific way.

I guess that many don't know of Putin's background; the man is the bridge between the old school KGB and today's FSB.

Putin, at heart, is still an operator.

No world court will ever hear this or any other espionage case.

Where is the evidence that connects Putinto the crime?

There is loads of specualtion and, potentially, on Putin's orders, this was carried out, but you need more than a strong hunch when you accuse someone of conspiracy to murder

Because conjecture does not constitute proof. There is no smoking gun linking Putin, or anyone else, to the possible asassination attempt on Litvinenko. The facts are that no one even knows what is causing his illness.

putin will have a vast array of advisors that will deny, deny, deny on his behalf.
he'll run and hide behind those advisors and their press releases, as soon as fingers point in his direction.
the fact that he ordered it and had no personal hand in it will b lost in the mire of the media fever in the coming months and possibly years.
we may never no the truth.
in the meantime we can continue 2 speculate until the cows come home!
