My ex agreed to make a quit claim deed on a property that I help purchased. Later I agreeded to do the same. I was about to have it recorded at the clerks office and found it to be no good. She initiated and completed all the paperwork and has worked in a law office that produced these items and is a subject matter expert. Can she be charged with fraud or any other criminal act to gain by deception, also know as theft. All documents were notarized but never filed. Should they have been filed by her if this was the intent.

Fraud could be charged against your ex for relying on the documents obtained by others because he presented it to purchase a property. The one presenting the fraudulent documents is deemed the author unless proven otherwise.

File your quit claim AFTER hers. If yours are notarized, file them now.
