Have our representatives basically 'sold out' by placing the legislative process at the mercy of deep-pockets companies that hire lobbyists to pressure to get their way? What's a vote worth in the face of multi-billion dollar corporations?

I'm trying to find some information on how I can advice a friend of mine. She has full custody of her son, but no judgement for child support was ever made.

He wasn't making any money. He was to advice her when his sitution changed. That was 9 years ago. Her son is now 16. Is she owed any back support? How would she even go about finding him?

Thank you

This court particular county have a reputation of discriminating against men and allowing women to lie about their spouses. Who should the behaivior of the court system itself and the involved women be reported to for investigation?

I almost got my car towed, because I was visiting my friend and she gave me the wrong parking spot but luckyly I was gonna go home and saw the towing car put something on my wheel.
And I told them that I'm the owner of the car, but they insist to charge me $80 and the tried to write down my VIN number (they write down the licence number already), I told them they not suppose to write down the VIN number because its only police job to do that.
So I tried to cover my VIN number with the tissue from the inside, but they asked me to move it and if not, they will hit my bf (wo was there with me).
But I didn't give them one, so my friend to stop the arguement, willing to pay the fee (only cash).
I live in California.
Is anyone here know the law about the towing? should I still pay the towing?
Thanks!

children are 13 and 11 and both children have been told in the past not to tell me about DFS and after I contacted DFS and asked to have copies of anything pertaining to my children sent to me after receiving this information I was shocked because I was never contacted and the reason for it was the other parent lied and said that he didn't know where I lived and had no way of contacting me. I couldn't believe that the people who we pay to protect our children didn't even bother to check this info out even after they found substatial evidence and opened up the cases. I am really hurt that the other parent had the children to withhold this info from me and was told not to tell anyone about what was going on in their home. I'm not just speculating this the DFS worker told me that the children told her this several times during her visits with the children. My ex and I have been divorced for five years now and if these things don't stop how will our children ever get over our divorce?

I was working with a jewish co-worker and I realized what I had said immediately after saying it. I apologized and he told me it was fine, and not to worry about it. A month or so later he was about to leave work for college, but got in trouble for closing the store late, or something.. And right before he quit he sent in a complaint that I was saying derogatory comments about the jewish religion.

This complaint was sent in at the beginning of August. The company made me write an apology letter, and review wrong work related conversations video. A month later I was fired for it.

The assistant manager thinks I should sue hollywood for wrongful termination. Would I even have a chance at winning? Or was me being termination justified? I'm horrible at anything law related, so I figured yahoo was my best bet after having no luck trying to look it up myself.

I would like to be able to find all the necessary information on possible felony and/or misdemeanor arrest warrants that may be outstanding on an 'individual'. I would also like to find out if two people were, at the same time, charged with the same criminal offense; Then those charges were dropped against one individual (lack of evidence), does that mean the same charges have to be dropped against individual #2? With no funds for a private atty., how can legal aid assist across multiple state lines? Thank you.

A wheel broke off my car on the freeway and damaged a car going the other way but nobody was hurt(THANK GOD!) however there was an insurance claim against my policy. I was never cited however. The question is two fold will it go on my driving record and would it effect me from getting a job driving a truck? Otherwise I have kept my driving record clean for about 20 years and I plan to keep it clean.

When you are "sworn in" in a court room, you raise your right hand and are asked, "Do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?". But yet religious, moral, and ethical values have no bearing in a court case. What's the point of taking an oath before "God" and on the Bible if they aren't going to allow you to use the Bible as a defense in the court? Tell me what you think.

i went to a school football game drunk and my principal found out so he told my school officer. the officer asked me if i had been drinking and i told him yes, although i did not tell him i consumed any alcohol but i told him id been drinking. so he made me call my mom to pick me up. he told me that i would be issued a citation and suspended on monday. first of all i thought an officer has to issue the citation at the moment you are caught, second off i told him id been drinking i did not say i consumed any alcohol though. anyway i was wondering if he can still give me a citation he has no proof besides the fact that i told him i was drinking, i did not get breathalized or anything

My 3 year old daughter was sexually assaulted by a 10 year old neighbor boy. That boy's grandmother is a former county judge and an attorney in town. The prosecutor informed me from the very beginning that he has a professional relationship with the grandmother of the offender. The judge recused himself due to the fact that he personally knows my family and he, too, has worked with the grandmother for many years. Should the prosecutor not do the same? Do I legally have the right to ask the prosecutor to recuse himself and allow the State Supreme Court to not only issue a special judge, but also a special prosecutor?
