the indian governement has banned these soft drinks, due to the alarming amount of pesticides found in them, despite an earlier warning.
without any affirmative regulatory framework in place, how does the government expect to control all the law-breaking?and if it feels like it has lost too much of control,or if this issue could damage its image in the public's eye,it just decides to end the problem altogether by killing its cause, without thinking twice??

why don't they ban television???there's so much of mind-polluting stuff on there as well.our kids are corrupted everyday by watching that crap, and they get addicted to it!it's harder to quit that, than it is to control your own intake of stupid colas!!

I've thought of either:
A: Steal it as he's hardly gonna go to the police is he?
B: Blackmail him for a share of the cash?
C: Trade him for a few nights with his wife?

I can't think of any others, though I would like a new telly.

Theoretical scenario. Bob is indited for animal abuse but the prosecuter has minimal evidence. Nothing concrete. But Bob is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to enjoy abusing and torturing cyberpets and tamagotchis on a regular basis. The prosecuter presents this as part of the case evidence against Bob. Would this be admissable in a court of law? Would it sway the judge / jury at all towards a guilty verdict?

Hi guys,

My mobile phone operator took an unauthorised payment from my account yesterday. They have no record of it therefore my bank are now looking at it being a fradulent transaction within the company it self. Am I right to fight for compensation? As this could be called theft?

to be self evident that all men are created equal. Given when these words were written they really only meant men who owned land and happened to be white. Today the scope of it has broadened but the idea is the same. My question is: If all of us are equal, how come same sex marriage is still illegal?

As this well running establishment is going to taken-over by National Highway authority for Govt. of India, they are only ready to compansate the land value as per their valuation, and the cost of the building estimated as per the Govt. Value. Less the depreciation. But what about the future business lose, the establishment cost, advertisement cost, labour compansation etc. This is only an establishment related to tourisam, started 3-years back. For an example, a coconut tree, there are rules to compansate the future income up to 20-years. Where can we get to know about the similer cases for camparison. What are the latest law's to safeguard the citizen.

Thanks for the excellent feedback I received to my initial question!
The owner did not officially admit that he lost my original contract. He said to me in a phone call (I called him after I was served the summons....b/c I was so shocked):"The real contract is somewhere." Well,...why didn't he use that then in his summons? I think it took nerves to take legal action with a criminal act.
I lost all respect for this man...and therefore I can't remember now where I placed the copy of the contract I signed...:) I figure the proof is upon him. He should not have done this to me...I trusted him, and he knows I am not one to bail out of an obligation. Now I realize, though, that his bad reputation is earned...he really is a crook.... . I did file a dispute of the validity of the debt at court here. It's documented, and on file.
I was just wondering why his lawyer hasn't responded to the letter I wrote, requesting the original contract and bookkeeping records so I can compare. Good sign?

I live in Kentucky and I was wondering if there was a way to view public records in California, without me having to actually to drive/fly there. By public records I mean, I was trying to find out about my half-brother who lives out there and I dont know much about him. My dad lost almost all contact with him and his mother after they left from here and I was trying to find them.
