This is a serious question, and I have no one to talk to, so cut the crap and just give me the facts.

I currently live in India, and hold an Indian passport. I would like to change my entire name. I am 21, and have my mother's full consent. Here are my questions. (keep in mind that when answering answer as you would an idiot, because I can't even pay the electric bill in this country.)

-where should I go to get this legally done? (I reside in Pune, Maharashtra.) will these people speak english? what exactly will they ask me to do?
-what expenses will be needed? (please round it up to the TOTAL cost, like typing up documents in whatever language they speak or whatever, excluding cab fare of course.)
-assuming I get this name change, truthfully, how long will it take to transefer said name to passport? (I recently renewed my passport and fought tooth and nail to get it back!)

the law shouldnt be as involved as it is on controversial moral issues and things that people do privately so that people have greater freedom and the law should only punish those who commit crimes...

I lost my job and have become unable to make my payments to my dancestudio. I stopped taking classes, spoke to the owner, explained my situation....we've always had a casual, verbal way of working things out.
Out of the blue, I was served a Summons by a sheriff. Attached was a contract (with my FORGED signature) I never saw before...with changed numbers, percentage rates, etc. Also attached was a bookkeeping entry...which listed a payment I never made. I filed a dispute of the validity of the debt, and requested a copy of the actual contract I signed, together with a record of all payments made by me to date. That was almost 2 months ago. I haven't heard from my dancestudio, nor from his lawyer ever since.
The owner told me that "it doesn't matter if this is my real signature or not" and that "the real contract is somewhere."
What if he lost the contract? I know for a fact (out of experience) that his bookkeeping is totally random and chaotic. No contract, no claim?

Is it right to enact legislation that is based solely on the moral beliefs of the lawmakers, or even of society? My philosophy is that citizens should be free to do as they please, as long as their actions or inactions do not harm another citizen physically, emotionally, or financially.

For a little reading on the topic, check out the book "Ain't Nobody's Business if You Do" by Peter McWilliams. http://www.mcwilliams.com/books/aint/toc.htm

9 years ago my dad passed the title of the house to me with my dad having a life estate. this was done because my sibling wanted to throw me out of the house and wanted to move in with his wife and kids with my dad. My dad did not trust my sibling and felt since I was taking care of him he wanted me to have the house when he passes on. Now my sibling has said he will sue me for the house. I know its all threats but a lawyer told me that even though my dad gave me title deed to the house and willed the house to me my sibling can sue me because he can put a claim on a life estate. so my question is what are my rights. can I once again be threatened to be thrown out the house that I live in with my dad?

I just turned 16 this past June. My mother and I have come to a fight, and I can't stand her anymore, for reasons I do not wish to disclose, except that she is mentally and verbally abusive in my opinion. For almost a year now, I have toyed with the idea of moving out, and I can be financially independent, but I have no idea if the law will allow me, without a lot of red tape and Mom's permission, and/or me reporting her. I don't wish to report her, seeing as, since I am the youngest, I don't have any worry about 'protecting' any others and that I don't want to cause myself or the rest of the family any grief. So, is there a way for me to get out without worrying about all this?

Bush admits he authorized wiretapping without a warrant; even without going to the secret court setup to approve such wiretaps. He clearly violated the law. (If you need more proof or argument of these facts, please see http://writ.news.findlaw.com/dean/20051230.html) Is this not an impeachable offense? I don't understand why Bush has not been brought up on charges for this.

Ok i have gone from a 36 to a 42 in a matter of six months and dont know why my clothes keep shrinking. Could it be because of global warming? Can global warming affect gravity because my scale seems to be broken too. It says i constantly gain weight. I dont get it. I am seriously lost and dont know what to do if i have to buy a new wardrobe again i'm going to be real angry and sue the designers because they are targeting me to get more of my money. What are some of the steps i can take to go after the designers? Lets get a class action lawsuit together and we can all sue them because I'm sure they are not just targeting me but everyone like me. THanks alot for the help

I filed an injunction against my neighbor and she tried to have it dismissed but the judge did not see a good reason to do so. So it is still in effect. However my neighbor filed an injunction which is fine but all of her satements are totally false accusations. I want to do something about that, what can I do and be effective about the matter. You see I don't mind the injunction just the lies and false accusations bother me.

If someone were overmedicated with a drug that acted like poison in their body, it made their blood vessels swell, their organs burst, and nothing can reverse this and they die after suffering for over 3 or 4 days, do you believe that this way of death is gruesome? And, if you believe it was, and was asked to award damages to the family, what dollar amount would you award the family?
