I just want to ask the cola companies that if they are not using excessive pesticides then why are they not suing the NGOs who is blaming them to this.

In the first instance let me clarify, that, the Indian Government has not, banned Cola drinks, till now. Only few State Governments have banned it, and that too, only near & inside the educational institutions. This controversy is not new. The same issue was raised few years ago. The Central Government, had then, promised, to come-up with, the standards for all bottled drinks. But, till date nothing has come-up and the issue has resurfaced. After, laying down the standards, if the cola companies, still exceed the limit, the Government will take action.
On the Television issue, also, when things go over-board, the Government will wake-up, one day and come-up with some regulatory body to curb, vulgarity.

You do not have that stated correctly. the ban is only near schools and hospitals. The information about the pesticides came from a very questionable source. The companies themselves run checks on their products several times each day and would have found any problem long before the drink left the bottling co. Do you know that a woman from India is now heading Pepsi-co world wide. Don't believe every thing you think you read.

This one side of the story. We have no comments from Company about allegation. If other commodities are tested you will find defects. I am not against banning cola drinks. These drinks should be totally banned.

Every body says that Govt. must have to ban on cola-drinks but I asked why because of high pesticides in it.So,first of all Govt has to ban on drinking tea because in tea there are 187,300 times pesticides than water used in colas. If hypothetically our colas had exceeded allowable levels by 30 times,I could still drink 6,200 glasses of cola & I would have less pestiside in my body than a cup of tea.The same goes for other foods.EU norms allows apples to have 154,120 times the pestiside than water;bananas to have 95,220 times;milk 7,140 times. So,soft drinks are among the safest product. It means Govt. must have to ban all these foods & other.Govt. has fixed water standards which are equal to highest norms in the world.so,its an unfortunate impression created by media.According to me on the bases of pesticide Govt is not right in banning cola-drinks.
And for banning on television,I want to tell one thing that television itself not show all these stupid items we create this items for our entertainment. So,there is no relation between banning on colas & television.

It's just like smoking or drinking alcohol. Put a label on it stating that it is bad for your health and continue selling it.
Doesn't McDonald's have a warning on their coffee cups due to a lawsuit that resulted from some jack@$$ burning himself?
