If not, can two people agree to be engaged in a fight, through signing injury/death waiver, in order to settle a dispute?

Personally, I don't see why not, it is just like an amateur boxing match where an opponent would be liable to the death/injury of the opponent due to the waiver. The apparent goal is to duke it out, but the ultimate goal is the fight to death in order to settle a dispute. This might be a way to get around anti-dueling law.

Hello,

I was in a Debenhams shop recently with my girlfriend and was asked to leave as it was a woman only shop, which I found strange as their were no signs saying such, I find this very sexist and am angry that anyone would be in a situation such as this. When I asked why it is this was and only woman are allowed in I was told, "Just Cause" which I find very insulting, it takes me back to the dark ages I now know what the ethnic minorities put up with and I feel sorry that the world is this way.

Do you think I could sue?

This is a genuine question, I need a truthful, honest answer,

As much as I dont' agree with full out communism, what if the maximum income that anyone in our country could make was like 5 million/year? I feel that as long as there is so much money being made by top CEO's at our major oil companies, the gas prices will never go down because they're getting away with it! See...as long as people can get away with taking advantage of us common people, things will never change, how can we stop it?

Many cities in the United States and some places in Europe are passing smoking bans in restaurants, bars, theaters, and other "public" places.

Proponents of these laws claim they protect public health and keep people from being forced to inhale secondhand smoke. Critics claim the laws go too far, unfairly restricting the rights of property owners and placing a burden on smokers.

What about this idea as a compromise? The owners of restaurants, pubs, and theaters can decide if they want to permit smoking or not. If they choose to allow smoking, they must put a large sign on all entrances stating "THIS ESTABLISHMENT PERMITS SMOKING. SECONDHAND SMOKE IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH." They must also have all new employees sign a form acknowleging that they choose to work in an environment with tobacco smoke.

This way, no one is forced to visit or work in a smoke-filled place. They can see the sign on the door, and make their own decision if they want to take the health risk.

We live in a society where you get paid what you are worth, if you are worth 5.15 an hour that what you should get paid, if you dont like that then freaking educate yourself. For all of you that want minimum wage to go up, why dont we just pay everyone in the whole freaking country the same annual salary, janitors to CEO's, heck even people on wlefare, would that make you happy, then noone would get their feelings hurt that they cannot use their dang brains and do better for themselves.

My friend answered an ad in the paper for a roommate. It was with another guy, a 37 year old professional guy who was in the supervisory field. He was to rent a room for 120 a week, the room was on the second floor of a 2 story townhouse. He basically had all upstairs and his own bath, and full use of the kitchen and anywhere else he liked, because the roomate was never home. The roommate was single with no kids. But anyway, my friend lost his job that he'd been on for 8 years. They basically went under overnight, and my friend explained this and the roomie was like no problem.Well, my friend was to stay there for 6 months, but he ended up staying a year. The roomie was okay with it, and told my friend to take time to get himself together, and don't worry about paying him. Pay whenever he got himself together. The roomie found a lady friend, 2 months later he moved in with her and put his place up for rent! No warning, he moved while my friend was out looking for work! No 30 day note

I think that anyone that goes to prison for murder should be sentenced to death. But not by expensive electric chairs and needles with injection fluid that costs thousands of dollars. By a bullet or rope would do the trick just fine.
These people already took innocent lives from society....so we let them destroy us more by paying for expensive ways to die "humanly". What they did was not humane! Why do we care!
Also why let them sit in prison to waste away... We are the ones paying for thier cable telivision...food, blankets, clothes etc.
Gonvernment has made this way to complicated...Society needs to learn...if you kill...you will be killed! These murders kill and then get to play b-ball with thier "boys" in the prison yard!
This situation is so out of control...prisons are full and we pay top dollar taxes to take care of these worthless beings. I am sick of this! What is your view?
