What do you think about the UN ?

if u do think that it is still needed, then why ? and if not then what rules should control the greed (if any!)

i mean some countries greed!!

we all agree that the UN is not doing "that much",but is cancelling it makes anything better or may be strengthening it somehow !!

pcheesewhiz i can appreciate what u r talking about personaly but we r talking here about it's part in preventing wars when all those "bigs" want ones.

What you do mean by that ? .. are you asking if the organization is still needed? ,,, why is it that you are mentioning greed .. controlling it .. what does it have to do with UN .. ?

The UN still retains a tremendous amount of power in the world. It is there in just about every war and every natural disaster working in tandem with other agencies to relieve the resulting pain and suffering. The UN sets up vaccination centers to control disease, reunites children with their families, assists in restarting schools, and plays a major roll in educating people all over the world about HIV and AIDS. Without it, millions upon millions more people would've endured horrible deaths. Through the many forums it holds on major world issues throughout the world, countries are able to find out how their neighbors feel and reach a consensus of opinion on what goals to set. The UN also sends out soldiers on peace keeping missions around the world. It has brought serious environmental issues to the world's attention. Because of the exposure it has given these issues, many industrialized countries have enacted laws to prevent further pollution. They are corrupt political people who have no authority to do anything. When was the last time they actually did anything? They let all of those Africans die in Genocide, They don't do anything about Lebanon and Israel except cut and run. They haven't done doo doo in Iraq now or when Saddam was in charge. They didn't help us during Katrina because we are so rich. Where are they in N. Korea? Shouldn't they be there on the DMZ? No! All they do is sit around on their "Fat Collective A$$e$" with their grubby hands out looking for kick backs!

The UN are pretty impotent! They art excellent at making resolutions,they should be,goodness they've made so many! That's all they can do and say, "lets make a resolution"! So,we should all get together and "make a resolution" to dump the UN!
