I am trying to file for child support and was told by a woman(who seemed like she didn't want to help me) at the district court house that i need to get these papers:

Petition
TDO "?"
T/PRO "?"
information sheet

If you know the right documents that i need, please tell me. If i go through a child support agency it will take about a year or more to recieve support from the father. If i do it myself the process will take half the time.

True, there have been racial problems regarding school admissions, employment, etc., but so much has changed since then. Is affirmative still necessary to maintain equality or is it starting to work opposite of its purpose? For example, college admissions can be unfair to those who deserve to be admitted in favor of others who don't deserve it as much based on their race because of affirmative action. What do you think?

Case in point, if you get too many parking citations, it is legal for the municipal government to impound your car until you either pay off what they say you owe, or sell it at auction for money. Yet, if you attempt to do the same thing with their property, you're going to jail.

There's also the issue of taxes, where if you don't pay, the feds can sieze all your assets. However, if you attempt to steal from the feds, you're going to jail.

Any explanation for this?

I adopted a dog from a shelter that specializes in dogs with special needs. The dog I adopted was supposed to be perfectly normal and housebroken, neither of which was true. I never ended up signing the adopting papers, but I did write a $90 check for her. Then I returned her because things just weren't working out since she was very obviously abused and not housebroken. When I returned her, they still haden't cashed my check, so I figured they just wouldn't, but they did! When I called them about it the first time, they told me that in the papers I signed the return policy said that there were no refunds. I told them I had never signed papers. The second time I called, they told me they weren't "interested inrefunding" my money! When I told her she was legally responsible to produce the papers she says I signed or refund my money, she hung up on me! What should I do to get my money back and/or get the word out? I live in Pa, what are my legal options? Thanks for your help!

I have 2 cases pending appeal, employer has won both with falsified info! Can not afford Lawyer and am researching cases overturned 4 employee's favor.

Any advice or case examples?

I was a Waiter and missed 1 night opening, got 2week suspension and Demoted to dishwasher 2,3 hour nts every other week, then while filed unemployment was Van Driving 1 hour Fri. 4 free lunch- had to start clocking in. Kicked out of kitchen and placed as full time Van Driver 2 weeks and waitress quit so Put back as Waiter to cover 5 nights, back to dishwasher as Van Superviser did not want to have to work dbl shifts to cover when the kitchen would pull that again. Finaly I was Discharged for appealing to LAIRC stating "G.M. LIED UNDER OATH" at 1st hearing! When he got copy Mar9,06 he called and I was Banned, Would be Arrested IF ON PROPERTY and could not talk to current employees... Apr28,06 came up w/appeal with more fabricated charges...

Our grandchildren are in CPS custody. Our son and his wife placed the children with us voluntarily then changed their minds, made allegations and CPS took them from us. The judge ordered home studies for us even though we were not on the list of alternative placement homes given to the court by our son. we filed an intervention to have some say in our grandchildren's future and get to see them. Our son and his wife now want us to drop the intervention and have threatened to not let us see the children. The foster parents abused the kids by spanking them and they were placed with the other grandparents who lost the right to oversee them before the originally came to us. Our son tells us that they will fight us in court to get custody. We do not want to take the children from them, only provide a safe and familiar place if CPS takes them again. What does an intervention mean? Our lawyer, CPS and our son were making good progress until yesterday when things blew up again. What do we do?

My nephew is 2 months old. He has been in the hospital since birth because he had complications. His mother already has 2 kids and she does not take care of them because she is always on drugs. His father is not fit to take care of him either. Me and my husband want to adopt him because we fear he will be taken away from his family and put into foster care.

How do we go about trying to adopt him? I know nothing about the legal system so i have no idea where to start.

I was attending college to finish my masters degree in Nursing. while working a side job to make money, I was hit by electricity that now disabled me for the rest of my life. I'll never work again! While recuperating now, I forgot to withdraw my resumes from the internet for Nursing jobs. Was send several emails about job offers from prestigous medical/health systems. How depressed would you be to find out that your getting offers for these jobs knowing you can never take the jobs? I'm fighting for my workers compensation from that employer where I got hurt. Do you think I should include potential earning capacity as part of my law suit seeing these job offers are with top dollar health systems.?

In this time and in the last 300 years people have made a culture of hate against gays and althoug it is getting better people don't seem to understand that homos have been around forever it is not something new. The ancient greeks an romans watched 2 naked men wrestle and had lovers of the same sex frequently but that all gets left out. Sometimes it is easier to think about things being one way. what do you think?
