Under what conditions could you end someones life? Threat of violence, personal property, they hurt or killed a loved one?
Fortunatly I have never had anything like that happen to me. However I know my answer. Lets hear yours.

We all know the TAXES will go up to pay China for fiancing the War. Even if the Easter Bunny gets elected some restraints will be placed on spending.

So why would the GOP want to shoulder that burden. Ride it out and then say "I told you so"

police corruption is a widely used term. too wide i think. However over the last 3 years i have heard (from reputable sources) of alot of police officers breaking the laws, especially with restraint/detention/arrests. some playing vigillanties, others being hypocritical (stealing from dealers to supply the force with the pot they all seem to smoke - im sure like 90% of cops dont, but that does not mean some forces dont have a 20% stoner rate) my question is: do you do your job because of this, inspite of this, or a combination of two or more reasons? I all but rejected this career because of the effort required, the risks you all take and the lack of off duty freedom that goes with the badge. now I think I need to do this because someone has to protect us, and while you may not agree with my beliefs, in that uniform I strongly believe I could lead others through action? thanks for your answers, and good luck. when done right that is one of the most admirable careers out there..

I know they will take it away when I get there and give it back it to me the last week before graduation. But if i leave my make-up at home it will get thrown away, and It's all prescriptives and bobbi brown, and that is all I wear... is it worth the yelling I will endure for having it. It seems like a stupid question but i have been thinking about all the stuff I have and how much of it i'm going to be leaving behind, and when I will be able to get my stuff again. My shoes and purses and cute clothes... I don't want to have to start my collection over.

I am very young and just getting out of a verbally abusive relationship. I don't know whether to try for sole custody of my 3 month old and child support. He has a record but it was before he was 18 so it was expunged (it was for assult). He is very verbally abusive even in front of our son and I am scared it will lead to physical. I need legal advice.

Anybody else think that it's a pointless law (in some states)? I'm all for living and being happy yada yada, but there are people that aren't... and I would think that it's their choice to do that... eventhough it'd be rough for their families & friends. As long as they don't bring others into it.

My husband passed away almost a year ago - is there a way to revert to my maiden name without going thru the whole change my name in court process? I still have plenty of ID in my old name. Just my SSN and Driver's License are in my new name. My husband was NOT a good man, and no longer want to carry his name. Any ideas?

I'm on parole in CA and have been repeatedly harassed by police in my neighborhood. I was pulled over for coming to an "abrupt stop" a few weeks ago. I was about 4 houses away from my house when I was stopped. They searched me and my car, found nothing, and then decided to walk down the street to do a parole search at my house.
Today I was pulled over for absolutely no reason and wasn't even offered one. They searched my car asked some questions and let me go. Is this kind of harassment really acceptable just because I'm on parole? Does anyone know where I can find some fact so I can know my rights a little better?
