In other words, do you want somebody who has beliefs based on the facts or a person who twists the facts (or just plain ignores them) to fit his existing beliefs?

For example, cons believe that supply side economics is superior to keynesian economics. The facts show the opposite. Therefore, cons don't think the facts matter.

They have FAITH that it works better, and if the facts don't show it, then the facts must not matter.

"If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be."

"Although we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers."

"I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in the District of Columbia are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

"We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That's true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such."

and when he left, did he use the same excuse other southern conservative former Democrats give?

"I didn't leave the party. The party left me."

David Duke became a Republican in 1988. In 1989, he was elected to the Lousiania House of Representatives as a REPUBLICAN.

READ ONE OF HIS ARTICLES RIGHT HERE:
"I was astounded to read these courageous remarks by Charlton Heston. I am thankful to hear a man with such high esteem say essentially the same things for which I have been reviled by the liberal media. His words should be reproduced and put into the hands of every American."

Clinton's reply was "at least i tried"...is this valid? he has bombed Afghan terror camp during presidency while Bush...well, he didn't do a thing. He headed warnings of terror attacks by airplanes but benignly dismissed them, as if it couldn't happen. He made zero attempts at afghan camps while Bin Laden was pushed up on the terrorist list. In other words, Bush did nothing to prevent 9-11. Yet still, ABC (disney movie) and Chris Wallace (that gnome) continues to push blame past Bush.....What's ur opinion?

Do you sometimes feel that a randomly selected person from your neighborhood would do just as well as the list of candidates as US President? It seems like we have too many lawyers who become professional politicians. All they do is make more laws and bureacracy. Why spend millions and millions to have an election when any random person would be just as good?

More than $2. 8 billion people in the world are working for less than $2 a day. Huge Corporations, giddy with joy over Free Trade Laws, are ever on the search for cheaper labor. Americans have fed this inequity by purchasing goods from countries where workers could be described as slave labor, even though we are sometimes faced with poisonous products, like lead paint in toys or tainted dog food.

Each day shiploads of foreign cargo reach our ports and no one seems to care that young children are employed in foreign factories, that women work in appalling conditions that no American would accept, that they labor for hours for salaries so low they are caught in poverty for their lifetimes.

Should Americans accept this? Should a mass boycott of foreign goods be used to halt these conditions? Should we insist that our politicians rework the Trade laws and, not only reinstate American manufacturing, but insist upon fair salaries and better working conditions in foreign lands?

This isn't me, it's a guy I know. He lives in Nevada, crashed a brand new truck (without insurance) and went out and 'bought' ANOTHER brand new truck (now he has TWO truck payments). He bought some electric guitars, a drum set, amplifiers, 300+cds, ANOTHER Mac, he bought his $475,000 house about 5 years ago (it's worth less now), eats at super expensive restaurants, and just feels (and acts) like he is a person who deserves priveledges that we (lowly normal people) shouldn't get.
Anyway, he isn't responsible in the least.
I'm sure the judge will review his spending habits (right?).
This guy just spent $40,000+ before he is going to declare bankruptcy, and he's convinced that he will get to keep all of his purchases.
Any predictions?
I'm probably going to e-mail him this question/answers, so lectures are encouraged.

And they STILL HAVEN'T captured the ONE GUY, that THEY PROCLAIM to be responsible for it.

How the F*** is that POSSIBLE?

of the 6 family members here in Washington state. I live just 2 towns away from where this occured. My son is the same age as the little boy that was killed (Age 3). The daughter of the two oldest victims had her boyfriend shoot the boy and his 5 year-old sister because she "Wasn't up to it." I cried all the way home from work after reading how he shot the little boy in the head while he held his hand out to him after watching him kill his mom and sister. I got home from work and went into my son's room and watched him sleep. What in the hell can make someone so cold as to shoot children like that? The Prosocuter is deciding whether to go for the death penalty or not. These people deserve to rot in hell. What is this world coming to? After learning that he might get the death penalty the man was quoted as saying "I have a new respect for life." Too little too late for that. Should have thought of that before pulling the trigger.
