So the other day I was stopped while walking into my hotel after being out of my car for about 3-5min about a broken head lamp. The cop supposedly saw it while I was driving, but decided not to even approach me until I was well out of my vehicle. He didn't even turn his lights on until I was reaching for the door of the hotel.

To my knowledge and understanding by Michigan law once your car is shut off and you are completely out of your car an officer can no longer confront ,nor ticket, you about anything like that.

I heard this from numerous people and would like to know if this is absolutely true, and where it is in the law books.

What would you like to do to someone caught doing this?

I have 40 college credits from the Philippines, I transferred it here in a community college and I have taken up 10 credits total, studying part-time. I was a full time A/R Accountant in a hotel for a year, an Auditor the year before that. What are the chances that my experience be considered given my experiences if I want a paper pusher job (DK,PS, PN?) in the Navy? I am also planning to finish my BS during my service. What to ask the recruiter? What do I need to have them written down in paper? Is there a lot of competition in this field? Am I gonna get deployed in war zones? Thanks.

LOL.
Just two days ago there was a story about how everyone in the middle east pretty much accepts the fact that bin laden is dead.
Bush awhile ago said he isn't even a priority.
Now we get this story.

If this isn't media conditioning and build up for a war of some kind i don't know what is.
Am I the only one who sees through this BS?

I mean, he obviously has to have SOME great qualities in order to become the president of America twice in a row, right?! So what is he doing that's so bad, and why would people still vote for him?? Could it be that....maybe, he's a GOOD PRESIDENT?? Just want to hear some of your opinions out there...

I was on the invisible children website, getting some information about the war in uganda when I came across the schools for schools program.

I really want to get involved in the program b/c i am a high school student but it seems a little overwhelming. My school isn't registered and I don't really know how to get started.

If anyone has some information about the schools for schools program or other ways to help in uganda, let me know please!!!

I know how much you want to believe in him, but the sixth year anniversary of his death was four days ago. He first died on December 26, 2001. Then, he died again on August 23, 2006.
And Benazir Bhutto also confirmed that he is dead.

We don't know when he died, but many agree that as of today, Osama Bin Laden is not making audio and video tapes for the Pentagon.

Also, do they have the right to suspend and/or fire you for carrying a cell phone, even if you keep it on silent/vibrate and don't abuse it by making lots of personal calls? I know that employers are concerned about productivity, but why take cell phone privileges away when there are just as many people wasting time on computers (surfing the net or looking at porn when they think no one is watching) or taking excessive breaks to smoke outside! A cell phone may save a person's life, but it is of no use if the employee isn't allowed to carry it!

I have not seen any candidates that really turns me on for this upcoming presidential election in the U.S. At best they are just routine politicians that just want to be elected to the highest office. I do not see that outstanding leadership qualities that really makes me want to get out and vote. In fact I dont know if we have anyone with the necessary leadership qualities that we need in this troubled economical, foreign policy area, or domestic policies that would guide us towards a resolution to the many problems that this great country is undergoing at present. Where are the Harry Truman's, Roosevelt's, Patton's, McArthur's, I just dont see them. Perhaps McCain's father would have been one such candidate, but, I dont see his father in him. But I guess if he is the only one we got to work with, then he must be the man.

How do I fight the ticket? I went into the court last month and I said I wanted to fight the ticket but she was like you need to pay the ticket first so I asked for more time. I never heard of having to pay the ticket first. So what do I do?

Im suppose to go in the 14th of January to pay it, but I want to fight it.

Unlike the U.S. Copyright Office, the Copyright Board of Canada neither asks for nor accepts a copy of the work being registered. All they require is a one-page registration form along with the fee. The registration form only asks what kind of a work you are registering (a book, a song, etc.) and its title. After the board processes the application, they send a certificate of copyright registration and that's it.

My question is: How will this certificate protect me if the Copyright Board of Canada does not have a copy of my work?
