Yes, we need to focus on our own county and the affairs of Americans before we even dream of intruding on the affairs of other countries. We need to overhaul our political system in favor a system that is closer to a real democracy. Let the people speak and vote for their own political system. I have a feeling that the masses favor so-called "socialism" (i.e., their tax dollars going to their well being and social/financial security--as opposed to going bankrupt for getting sick or injured, getting, old, getting laid off, etc. I'm sure that the people will choose things that favor their own interests rather than billions going toward benefiting the few--while leading to the wholesale slaughter of innocents and the destruction and "rebuilding" of other nations.

Capitalism is essentially the private ownership of the means of production. Basically a person or corporation owns the factories and mines and buys labor from people to work these. Socialism is when the means of production, instead of being in the hands of a single person or corporation, would be controlled by the working class itself. For example all miners, through democracy, would control the entire mining industry. Communism is the end phase of socialism where social classes, money, and even the state have been eliminated and cooperation is valued over competition. Communism is a very anti-state ideology. Fascism is the antithesis of this. Fascists believe that the state should hold total control and only through government control, could a country gain independence and supremacy. Fascists believe social classes are necessary and tend to be very towards minorities. Socialism and communism are both left wing ideologies, while fascism tends to steer more to the right wing.

I'm going for isolationism because you still maintain national sovereignty. I mean, how many problems does Sweden or Norway have?
But it doesn't matter we're heading for socialism but it's not going to be flowers and candy and free health care like you think it will be. Remember, Hitler ran on a socialist platform.

As always, a blend of the above. We have always had such, and always will have it. The only differences we ever have are in the blend strengths...30-30-40 as opposed to 25-35-40, or so on. My pet tarantula could make a better blend than the Bushites have done, so whatever we get it will be better than what we've had.

you have no idea what true fascism really is, your just another one of those word pitchers you throw them out at people who disagree with you but you have no idea what they really are.
fascist has become a slur, used by adherents of some ideologies to describe their opponents.(a true fascist state requires you have no freedom of speech assembly or anything the us currently enjoys)
Socialism is a broad array of ideologies and political movements with the goal of a socio-economic system in which property and the distribution of wealth are subject to control by the community.(never a good idea people are corrupt)

Since we play world's policeman anyway, why don't we take our troops out of Iraq, send them all to Afghanistan, and find the mass murdering animal responsible for September 11th (Osama bin Laden)?
