I mean, he obviously has to have SOME great qualities in order to become the president of America twice in a row, right?! So what is he doing that's so bad, and why would people still vote for him?? Could it be that....maybe, he's a GOOD PRESIDENT?? Just want to hear some of your opinions out there...

He got into the game through cheating and playing dirty. Anyone in their right mind would have the common sence to realize that he is an idiot that is DESTROYING our nation. He has brought SHAME and utter DISGRACE upon all Americans. The only reason the people that actually DID vote for him voted for him was because they were stupid and wanted a christian president because they are christian. I got that straight from many christians. 'He's Christian. Bush is a good guy' said one of my peers. His wife said the name of the hurricane in louisianna wrong on the radio...doesn't that prove something?

Oh boy, you are going to open that Pandora's box again!! I don't know if I can stand to hear another "he stole the elections" phrase! 2000 came down to Florida and he US Supreme Court which stopped the endless recounts that were going on. When that happened Bush won. Every independent unbiased view of the results since has proven Bush won but Democrats can't give it up! 2004 was ditto but Ohio I believe was the center of the storm then but the democrats cried foul again and claimed Bush stole the election.
New (since 2000) democratic strategy is give absolutely no credit to Bush, bad mouth him constantly, get the media involved to push the hate and lies. Say it a thousand times and if it isn't true, say it a million!
I have issues with President Bush. He hasn't proven to be the fiscal conservative we we led to believe, his stance on aliens is very troubling to me. But what keeps me supporting President Bush is what he has done since 09/11, he has PREVENTED another attack on home soil and come to mention it, on foreign soil.
Have you heard of any Embassy bombings since 2000? How about Destroyers being hit with suicide bombers? Housing for military overseas being hit? Airliners being hijacked or blown out of the sky? During his first term there were incidents but security has been ramped up and incidents are few and far between.

President Bush HAS done a good job. It's just the Democrats and the kissass media that won't allow him to have any credit, at least while he is in office.

Do you notice that there are really no issues mentioned except the war in the middle east and that didn't happen till after President Bush was in office.? How sad that there are so many people full of ignorance and hate at the same time. One of my best friends who was a liberal wanted to bet me $100 dollars that President Bush would lose. I didn't want to take his money because I didn't bet with friends. After President Bush won this 7 year long friend stopped being my
friend. There is something very wrong with people who will not tolerate anyone disagreeing with them.

By the way there were multiple recounts in Florida and over 45 independent investigations by the Media (which is mainly liberal) and all concluded that President Bush did win Florida.
President Bush was for conservative judges on the Supreme Court so they would not overstep their bounds and try to make laws from the bench. That was one of the main reasons I voted for him. Later after the war on terror was on he was solid in his conviction about it to win whereas Senator Kerry put down our troops and never disclosed his military record to the public like President Bush did.

Karl Rove Bush's brain should be credited for his political strategies.

FOX NEWS should be credited for announced Bush was president before it was even determined which through the AMERICAN people into confusion after the first election.

The Supreme court then decided to give the Presidency to GWB because the American people were already confused and they the Government wanted to apear that everything was in order.

If you don't believe me loom it up they went before congress for their actions.

Karl Rove then taking a page out of FDR's book got Bush reelected by using the same strategy that FDR used to attain his 3rd reelection during WWII. That was to Make the American people nervous about switching presidents during a time of war.

This is why it was so important to RUSH into war with Iraq.

But you have to be a political Genius to think this stuff up or just have a good understanding of history and politics as Karl Rove does.

I personally think he got elected as the lesser of two evils. Kerry had nothing to offer and was as confusing in his views as anyone short of a mental patient could be. I like the fact that he treats terrorism as something very serious and more than just a "bumper sticker". I feel his weakness on the issue of securing our border(s) could be a fatal mistake. Gore could have beaten him if he continued to pretend he was a moderate. For what it's worth, the fact that we have not had any major acts of terrorism and selecting judges who are not political activists are points in Bush's favor. I can't believe the number of left-wing, troll propogandists here. They actually believe he was elected by the supreme court (A first in the history of the U.S.)? YIKES!

I am rapidly losing faith in humanity...

One note for the dems, Gore got more in the popular vote than Bush, but under the Electoral College system, Bush won fair and square.

It's the fourth time it's happened by the way.

The first time around he was selected, not elected. He lost the popular vote. If there was ever a case that the electoral college should be revamped , this is it. I can't explain his re-election except that people voted for him on one issue, like they see him as a man of faith, or he's just "likable"; surely couldn't be for his leadership ability, or superior intellect. He is not a very good president, but a great politician.

Because jackass dems couldn't come up with something better. The proof is in the pudding - people spent MILLIONS of dollars to promote the Anybody But Bush! campaign, including MoveOn.org, Cindy Sheehan, and A.N.S.W.E.R. among other groups, and they still failed, because instead of promoting Anybody But Bush!, they should have focused on Somebody Who Doesn't Suck!

in 2000, he got fewer votes than his major opponent-how did he get in? 3 factors-ralph nader splitting the vote among liberals, the machinations of his florida campaign chairperson who happened to be in charge of florida's elections, and the intervention of the supreme court. how did he get re-elected? the 'swift-boating' of an admittedly 'less than ideal' opponent, and 9/11...he danced on those graves all the way to a war built on false pretexts, thru to the 2004 election-up until 9/11, his poll numbers were anemic, and the country was beginning to see what a mistake his election was-9/11 benefited him greatly in a purely political sense...if he could run for re-election now, he wouldn't make it past the new hampshire primary

Personally I don't like him. I don't care if someone else does, that is fine...and your opinion. I know many people who do not like him but voted for him a second time because they felt as though he needed to clear up and thing he started in his first term. I voted for someone else because I don't agree with things that have gone on. I do however agree with how he has "matured" in his second term and done a lot more for the country.
