Unless you would rather a large ripped bleeding gaping tear then yes you are required to remove them. Try low crawling in dirt and gravel with earings. See how well that works out for you.

for males: yes. no earrings are allowed ever in uniform.
for females: only one set of small studs..white or yellow gold allowed. I forget the MM allowed, but it is small. In the lobe, nowhere else.

U-sure do my friend ur not in civilian life anymore welcome to the military where there is not fashion statement except green as u go through boot camp n I went through Fort Dix,so I know what I am saying OK.

Everybody here is correct, you must remove them for safety reason.
Not only that, they don't match the outfit you are going to wear!!! and they tend to get caught in your helmet strap.
