DD89 was the USS Ringgold, a World War One era four stack destroyer sold to England under Lean-Lease in 1940

DD889 was the USS O'Hare, a Gearing Class Destroyer that entered service in 1945 and sold to Spain in 1973

the U.S.S O'HARE DD 889 was commissioned on 22 Jun 1945 and was sold to Spain on 13 Oct 1973. It was a Gearing class destroyer which would have given it twin mounts of 5"38s. torpedoes, hedge hogs, depth charges and more than likely a secondary gun system of 3"50s
top speed more than likely between 27 and 34 knots. crew would have been about 300 officers and enlisted.

they are commissioned in numerical order...89 would have been sometime around 1900...889 would have been in about the 40's....
