The law now will go back forever, changing the rules in the middle of the game. If you have not had a DUI in 20 years, that old DUI will count if you get another one.

It seems a bit much. At some point in life everyone should move on, I dont think you should be punished for a crime forever.

I think it's great. If people cannot learn from their first time they should be punished fully even if it is 50 years down the road. Drunk drivers deserve no sympathy. They kill WAY too many innocent people. Even my own uncle. He only got 6 months in jail after hitting a 8 months pregnant woman and killing her unborn baby. I think he should have gotten at least 5 years for that.

Sounds like it would be a very good idea to avoid drinking and driving. I certainly do not drink and drive. I also avoid robbing banks. I think obeying the law is a prudent course of action. How about you?

Haven't heard this but I have no DUI's. Is this a state or federal law? If state, which state?

I think that's horrid to do to someone for a first offense. And I think changing the rules in the middle of the game sucks.

I think that is a good idea.

It will make people much more careful to make absolutely certain that they do not get another DUI.

Remember. If you do not drink and drive you will not get a DUI.

Driving drunk gets people killed. If a person hasn't learned from being busted once, they really shouldn't be given free reign to do it again.
