I am flying down to San Antonio on Wednesday and I will be trying to get onto Lackland AFB on Thursday. We are not military and my boyfriend sent me three visitors passes. I know my mother will need her ID, but will I? I am 17 and still a dependant so will I need my license for getting on base or will it just be her? I can't find my license which is why I am asking this question. Thanks much!!!!

I have thought about it long and hard. There are so many wrong policies being pushed by our leaders, so many wrong directions that we are going in...whether you are speaking immigration, trade policy, foreign policy, fiscal policy, energy policy (or lack thereof)....and lets not even begin to talk about other things like record breaking foreclosures and what's happening with the constitution..etc..

So many things to fight over, so many battles to fight to make things right......I must confess, I am really thinking of throwing my hands up in the air, and just taking care of myself and stop worrying about this country that I love so much. After all, I can easily see how one can go crazy trying to fight those in power who have so much power to get their way and are going to get what they want anyway.

Best of luck Karunanidhi!!!!

You seems to have no respect for anything that is above, or anything that is on earth.

There's a special place in hell for people of your kind.

No one can save you from the wrath of the Almighty.

You've brought it upon yourself!

What I don't understand is how one can sue, like the State Sen. Ernie Chambers is suing God, when he doesn't believe in God. How can you sue what doesn't exist? Also, how can Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad be angry with or declare war with a country ( Israel) that for him doesn't exist?

I will be doing some contract work at an Airport in Afghanistan for a 12 month term. I wanted to ask those who have done government contract work overseas what the living conditons would be like. In Afghanistan particularly...I already know of the harsh weather conditions...I just want to know if I will have my own room and privacy and what I would be able to do recreationally in that country. THANKS!

Annexation of Hawaii
The Kingdom of Hawai'i was long an independent monarchy in the mid-Pacific Ocean. During the 19th century, the first American missionaries and then business interests began to play major roles in the islands. Most notable were the powerful fruit and sugarcane corporations such as the Big Five, which included Castle & Cooke, Alexander & Baldwin, C. Brewer & Co., Amfac and Theo H. Davies & Co..
The Big Five engineered, financed and directed military coup, deposing and imprisoning the monarchy's last native Hawaiian leader, Queen Lili'uokalani in 1894. Although censured by the U.S. president and Congress, the Big Five maintained control until 1898, when president of the Republic of Hawai'i, Sanford Dole, was finally offered and agreed to annexation by the United States. The republic was dissolved in 1900 when the country became a territory of the US. Following voter approval of the Admission of Hawai'i Act, the Territory of Hawaii, on August 21, 1959, became the state of Hawai'i and the 50th state of the United States.

worse type of people...The good Mexicans don't want to come here. The good Hondurans don't want to come here. The good Nicaraguans don't want to come here. Only the losers who can't even find a job in their own country that come here, that is the problem. That is why the crime rate is high in the predominently mexican community. That is why the Mexican government won't do anything to stop this illegal migration, the Mexican government don't want these people. Just like if we take all the people on foodstamp and welfare and all the criminals in this country and dump them on Mexico. They would not like it, I guarantee that...Agree or Disagree?

I work at this store and this guy works out back in the loading/shipping/recieving area and I have to go out back when a customer wants something shipped to another store or something..but this guy really really makes me uncomfortable, he's really ridiculously touchy...he'll see me from behind and come up and grab my waist and pick me up and then bend me down, its really weird and he's always just touching me creepy and onetime i actually screamed because he wouldn't let me go and he had me in a sexual-type position...I've told him to stop but he doesnt..Also i"m 19 and hes 38. What should I do? I really am not the type to complain to management or anything so i'd like to resolve it between the two of us.

Personally I'm pro-choice, but I can understand the pro-life position.

Still, I can't understand how anyone can be against abortion when it is necessary to save a woman's life. There are actually countries: Chile, Malta, Nicaragua, and El Salvador where abortion is illegal even for those reasons. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/29/AbortionLawsMap.png

I even read an article about how before it was illegal for all reasons a child who had been raped and also needed an abortion to save her life had one in Nicaragua. The Nicaraguans protested against her abortion! How can anyone support making a child die to save the life of a fetus that would probably die anyway?

My friend is somewhat of a kleptomaniac and has issues with stealing for the last year or so. Finally, it caught up with her. She got caught stealing some batteries from Cub Foods and landed herself a 424 dollar ticket. She is 17 so apparently her parents will not be notified. She told me her court date is coming up on October 30th and she is hoping to get the ticket reduced or eliminated. However, how much time does she have to pay the ticket? Is it due by her court date or will she be told at court? Also, the timing of this is pretty bad. She is a senior in high school and is applying for colleges right now. Will this show up on her record if she pays the ticket or completes community service? She is really nervous/scared and asked me for help so I decided to post the situation on here. Any info is greatly appreciated!

"There is a very easy way to prevent anyone from being put into harm's way, and that is for Saddam Hussein to disarm, and I have absolutely no belief that he will. I have to say that this is something I have followed for more than a decade.
For now nearly 20 years, the principal reason why women and children in Iraq have suffered, is because of Saddam's leadership.

The very difficult question for all of us, is how does one bring about the disarmament of someone with such a proven track record of a commitment, if not an obsession, with weapons of mass destruction.
