TEL AVIV — U.S. and Israeli defense officials are hammering out details of a potential $1.2 billion arms sale to the Israel Air Force
http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?F=3068953&C=mideast

I think this is wonderful news! Friends are supposed to help friends. And Israel is a true friend indeed!

Perhaps this fortells an upcoming military incursion into Iran, perchance? One can only hope. Heaven knows it's LONG overdue!

UK Immigration did not stamp a 6 month visitors visa in my passport when I arrived from America 3 weeks ago as I passed through Dublin on the last leg of the flight.

I spoke with them this week and they said that they can't do it now, the only way is to fly to another country, (not ireland) and when I fly back in they will stamp it then.

What is a good enough reason for me to do a return trip on the same day to another country should the immigration query this?

Would it be better to go out one day and come back the next day to avoid the suspicion of the immigration.

What is a legitimate reason Why a foreigner (american) would spend 200 pounds to take these steps to ensure their Passport has a 6 month Visa? is this reasonable?

Hi, please can someone advise me?
We thats myself, husband, 2 daughters aged 4 and 6 have tried every way we know possible to try and emigrate to Australia.
In every catagory we seem to come up against a hurdle.
I have 3 children that are in their 20s and left home, all in happy relationships, but that stops us on last remaining relative, even though my mum, dad, brother, auntie, uncle, cousins are all there.
My mum and dad arent in the best of health, my dad has had a major back op and waiting for 2 knee replacements, my mum has a hip replacement but they are not sick enough for us to apply for a carers visa.
Although both myself and my husband have both worked hard, neither of us has a skill so that doesnt help.
I am 44 and hubbies 39.
My brother is a warrant officer in the Australia navy and is in Sydney my parents are in Queensland.
I look at all the peoplle let into Oz on humanitarian and refugee grounds and wonder if there is a way?
If we came on visitor visa would they let u stay

How else are you going to keep up with the numbers needed?

130,000 very strained troops, and a year where soldiers will be getting out, who are already not reelisting, or enlisting as much as army requires.

Bush is really intent on passing off a mess to the nextpresident.

I guess hes hoping that in comparison to what hes passing off, he might not look all that bad.

Stay the course, cut and run, whats the latest slogan?

When is it going to be...this is not whats best for america

Lets compare.
An Iraqi government with no significant Progress
U.S. soldiers caught in a civil war, attacked from both sides, and from an unseen enemy
200 Billion dollars a year
Plus 600 Billion + for VA and services to the post war soldiers.
Long term financial assistance healthcare and disability thats close to what we have spent total on the war, each year for maybe 20 years to come
3807 U.S. soldier Deaths/27753 Wounded to date.

Vs
redeployment that will save Money,
Redeployment to the borders out of direct harms way = very minute U.S. casualties if a border temporary installation with enough boundary is established
A Joint U.N. task force against Al Queda and terrorism
A redeployment into Afgan andPakistan to eliminate all of centralized Al Queda (the true responsible party for 9/11)

Which do you choose?

Only a fool would continue to stay the course.

It use to be you're not a real Marine unless you have 2 NJP's.

Chesty Puller had 11 NJPs and a Court-Martial and he retired as a 1 or 2 star general I think.

Before it was the norm to have NJP's or even a Court-Martial.

If you look at a Record Book of a MSgt, MGySgt or a CWO they usually have pages of page 11's, NJPs and they still made those high ranks.

Now the youger guys comming in are getting kicked out for petty stuff.

How are the changes comming about and why?

I got this info myself when I was on active duty. I used to maintain SRBs

Lennie and George are good friends and work at the same place. One day Lennie beats his boss to death with a hammer and is arrested. The Police read Lennie his Miranda Rights and Lennie invokes his right to an attorney. The Police immediately stopped asking Lennie questions. Later that day George arrives at the Police Department and asks to speak to Lennie. The Police tell George they will allow it if an Officer can stay in the room and record their conversation. George agrees and gets to talk to Lennie. During their conversation Lennie tells George about how he killed Curley (their boss). Lennie had not seen a lawyer at the time of his conversation with George and George is not an attorney.

At the trial the Police try to enter the recording into evidence but the defense objects. Was Lennie's 5th Amendment (Miranda Rights) violated? Why?
