ok well, I'm in my senior year in hight school and am thinking to go to law school. I need to apply to a college this month...so I don't know what kind of pre-law program to take...I also heard, it isn't that great of an idea to take pre-law courses because then the professors in law school have to un-teach everything. So I want to get an undergraduate degree in something...not sure though..what is the best thing to get an undergraduate degree in...that will perhaps prepare you the most for law school. just give a best example

Well, I am currently deployed in Iraq and have served in the US Army for 8 years. I am under 1 year and am having a hard time deciding to re-enlist or get out?
This has been my only job since I got out of high school, so I dont have the experiance with the "civilian" work force.
My decsion to get out is because of this "war on terror" and the fact that this may not be my only tour in Iraq? This is my 2nd tour in the middle east and the uncertainty of coming back fustrates me. It has been a tour that I will never forget... I have seen 4 fellow soliders dead of an IED blast and I lost a soldier to an EFP not too long ago...
I dont want to see another tour like this again.
The only thing that keeps me wanting to re-enlist is the benefits and medical care for my wife and family. Plus, the fact that I will only have 12 more years until I can retire.
This is the hardest decision I will have to make so far in my life.
Thank you and God bless our troops.

In my work place, when the fire alarm goes off, all the security doors leading back into the building are automatically locked. Meaning even when you have a valid key, the door no long open. But would that create a problem? Let's say that I am in the lobby, a car crashed through the front door, on fire, and prevent me from exiting. Now, if I can't open the door to escape through the back door, I would be trapped.

I am looking for any fire code information to prove one-way or the other. Let me know if anyone has more info. Thanks

My ex-wife had an attorney but he dropped her because she couldnt pay the bills. she continues to file motions and drag me back to court, now without an attorney. She was just awarded attorney fees to get the old attorney back to fix her case and get things back on schedule for final orders. Here is where I just lost all sence of common sense. She cant afford an attorney anymore because she argues and wants everything 100%. Now the judge orders me to pay her attorneys fees pende lite so we can proceed with litigation. I have to pay her attorney and mine. Ive been trying to settle for two years and she refused. Now I get punished again by having to pay her attorney to keep delaying. this is not right. This cant be legal. who knows about this or has ever heard of such a thing. Its not a criminal matter. its california family law.

This is the second war of chose that we have started and lost along with tens of thousand of the soldier's healthy bodys, minds and spirits. Vietnam and Iraq have been wars of waste, wasted blood and treasure, and we should never have started them.
What explains these errors in judgement? Why were we so ready to jump into a conflicts that we so obviously misunderstand and mismanaged in both cases?
I suggest that maybe having a overly large military ready for war at any time is one of the major problems. I think we should cut the military down to size that would make it unprepared for offensive war.
The time it would take to prepare an Army for the offense maybe enough to give our best minds and hearts a chance to inform the body politic!
It could be that we do more harm to ourselves than any enemy would do to us. What do you think?

I have just graduated high school and am applying to join the police. They want to know details of my employment history and contact details of my past employers. I have only had one paid job, in retail, which I resigned last week. The trouble is, I resigned without notice because my boss was a complete a**hole and make me work 8 hours continuously without a break (which he denies). I know he is going to give me an absolutely horrible reference when the police recuiting staff ring him.

All other aspects of my appication are great: academic history, academic ability, physical testing, no criminal record, etc.

My question is, will this horrible reference fom my only employer seriously jeopardize an otherwise good application?

TIA.

i recently asked a question why do we pay taxes to the police when they are supposed to protect and serve the citizens.they seem to be more concern about writing tickets, and i said they are not doing there jobs, but in realality they are it is not there fault.it is the mayor,or who ever is in charge of them, because they are given a qouta to write so many tickets. i know this because i have some police officer friends who told us this, me and my dad.im not writing this because i recently got a ticket,i have not had one in a long time.the reason is because i care about there being so much crime, and nothing is being done.i feel like the police officers need more freedom to patrol more in the neighborhoods,or the streets so that criminals will not easily commit crimes.knowing that police are more patroling, and they may not do any thing, just there presence more known would help.robbery seems to be the highest crime, people losing there lives because of this is just not right.

If an office holder from one organisation is an ex officio office holder in another, how does one describe the relaitonship that it creates between the two organisations?

The president of an organisation is the ex officio 1st VP of mine, and I'm trying to find a way to explain the relationship to the others from that other group. What's the best way to describe what the crafters of my constitution were trying to say?

My husband went down to the recruiter today and was told he could not join until the tattoo's on the side of his neck were removed. So...I was researching some things that would get rid of the tat's besides laser surgery and I found an acid that works as a peel to get rid of it. Before we begin this process we really want to be sure that he can join with flat feet and a GED. I have heard so many different storys, some say yes and others say no. He does have 8 college credits so far and will have 16 by January, but when they say 15 college credits plus GED equals Tier 1 is that for certain college credits or any classes. Then there is the flat feet issue. He can run fast and is on his feet all day everyday, he works for the garbage company. He has never had any problems with his feet or knees and there is no pain what so ever in his feet. I would appreciate any help that someone can give me, but those with experience in the army is what I am looking for a response from. Thank you. :)
